  • 2 batteries - Crash resistant - Cat resistant 2 batteries - Crash resistant - Cat resistant
I spend my workdays troubleshooting IT hardware, so I have zero patience for gadgets that break on the first minor impact. I wanted something I could fly around the house without the cats or my own bad steering turning it into a pile of plastic shards. Quality: The 360-degree cage is the real deal and takes the stress out of indoor flying. I’ve bounced this off several walls and a bookshelf, and the brushless motors have enough punch to keep it level instead of just dropping. Ease of Use: Since there is no GPS, you actually have to fly it, but the headless mode makes that a lot easier for a novice. The remote has a built-in LCD screen that gives you clear info on your speed and battery, which is a nice touch for a starter drone. Function: It handles flips with a single button press and the three speed settings are distinct enough to be useful. I started on the low setting to get the hang of the sticks, then bumped it up to high for the backyard to see how it handled a light breeze. Visibility: The LED lights are bright enough to make it easy to spot even if it ends up in a dark corner or under a couch. Between the lights and the protective ball, it’s a much more forgiving design than the typical bare-propeller models, plus it is super safe. Battery life: Two batteries make this last a long time. It does the job for anyone looking for a durable flyer that can actually survive a few pilot errors. This is a good value for a kid or a first-timer who wants to learn the ropes without breaking their new toy on day one. ... show more

  • Bad quality Bad quality
Do not waste your time trying this toy, is cheaply made and even the instructions did not match with the drone.

  • Cool concept, but very fragile Cool concept, but very fragile
The idea of a drone with a protective cage seemed brilliant, especially for young flyers-so trying this out was a must! Functioning: I was pleased to see this drone comes with 2 batteries, perfect to extend flying time. Finding the power button on the drone itself took longer than actually learning the controls on the remote which is very user friendly even for my 8 year old. The auto launch and obstacle avoidance made this a great option for us with having no experience. . The camera quality isn't high def, but it's adequate for a drone in this price range especially considering the remote comes with a screen and no need to use a cell phone. My biggest issue with this drone was that after 15 minutes of flying it indoors with minimal hitting things this item was broken in 3 places. One break was in the cage itself, the other 2 were on the drone as shown in photos. This has me questioning the quality and durability especially if taken outside. Assembly: The assembly of the ball like cage was fairly easy, despite the poor instructions. Finding the correct placement of the camera was a bit more difficult, but after looking closer at the box photo I was able to find where it attached to the cage. The battery slides in and out rather hard. ... show more

  • Durable Frame And Strong Motors Durable Frame And Strong Motors
Definitely different from any drone I ever had. The cage is unlike I have seen before and it works. I dropped it on the stairs in the short vid to show just how effective it is. The plastic is durable with a flexible cage and a rigid frame on the drone itself. Battery life is around 12 to 15 minutes on the drone batteries and I have not needed to charge the remote yet. The remote control has several features to include video feed and settings for fine tuning. First flights inside were difficult in hallways and much easier in the open living room space. In hallways it seems to respond to the wind funnel created in that tight space, which requires us to be ready for quick adjustments. The motors are actually pretty incredible. Stronger than others I have seen for this size drone. After about 3 batteries we are able to start flying it inside without hitting everything, so it's just a learning process. The plus side is I can get the batteries out to charge without taking the cage apart. The only hang-up I had was assembly. The instructions do not really address the cage. So I used the pictures from the listing and was able to get it together, but it took me awhile. So the only con I really have is the instructions themselves. Overall this feels like a good value for its durability, modular batteries and strong motors. It has been a lot of fun watching the kids, and me, fly it around and not worry about using the replacement blades when crashes occur. ... show more

  • Not recommended. Bait and switch Not recommended. Bait and switch
Honestly, I would never recommend this drone - not for $100 at least. I intended this for my kids, to help them learn drone control without worrying about damaging the drone. The ‘soccer ball’ cage around the drone does a reasonable job of protecting it, but is by no means foolproof. I was able to break a propeller when my kid knocked into the drone and it bounced off the floor. (It does come with spares) And thus, I’ve mentioned all the redeeming qualities of the drone. As for the problems: 1. No instructions of any kind. Neither to construct the cage, attach the drone, attach the included camera, or use the remote. 2. The drone works, but it’s junk. And it’s hard to install and remove the batteries. 3. The remote is the cheapest feeling thing I’ve ever handled. Despite having a ‘screen’, which doesn’t work without the camera, i cannot imagine a cheaper feeling controller. In addition, there is a tiny camera included with the drone, but no instructions on how to hook it up or where to put it. Without the camera, the screen on the controller doesn’t work. It doesn’t even turn on I would have much preferred a better controller without the screen and some basic directions. Then why they bothered to include a camera when there does not appear any place to hook it up I just don’t know. I would not point out that the drone is pretty hard to control. It does not hover in place. You have to be on your game the whole time so unless you’re in a large room like a school gymnasium, it’s not really practical for teaching, which was the whole reason I got it in the first place. ... show more

  • Fun And Surprisingly Tough Cage Drone For Indoor And Backyard Flying
This is a fun and surprisingly tough little drone that has held up to everything I have done with it. It is mostly plastic and does feel a bit chincy at first, but in use it proved to be durable, even after several intentional crashes in a grassy field with no damage, of course concrete would likely be a dfferent story. The protective cage is the standout feature and works great for indoor flying since bumping walls or ceilings does not send it into an uncontrolled crash, and overall stability is good once you get used to the controls, especially in more open spaces. It includes 3 batteries for the drone, and I am getting about 10 minutes of flight time per battery, which may improve a bit as the batteries get cycled a few times. Performance is solid for the size, with stronger than expected brushless motors and beginner friendly features like one key takeoff and headless mode. The camera is more of a fun bonus than a serious filming tool but works fine for casual use. Assembly instructions could be clearer, especially for the cage, but once set up it is easy to use and maintain, and the price is fair for what you get. ... show more

  • App doesn't work and just about everything else App doesn't work and just about everything else
This toy is an absolute mess in practically every area. On opening the first thing I did was charge the two batteries it came with...and that is about the only thing that seemed to work as intended. I then proceeded to scan the barcode it tells you to install the drones app on your phone...and it told me it is either temporarily down or doesn't exist. After half a dozen more times with the same reply I attempted to type the drones name and search for it in the app store...and I didn't see anything come up related to this. So it does come with a small instruction manual that I quickly realized is very little help and not for this exact model drone. That said, I took my time and figured it out and got the drone up in running, however I couldn't find how to change the remote from Chinese to English. And then more problems. After getting it running and instantly smacking into things a wall and right to the ground I realized the fan blades cut into the circular frame that attached around it (see pics). If you watch the ad for it, the circular frame around the drone is made for impacts and what this is made for...and it started breaking immediately cause it is really cheap plastic. I know the price is considered cheap for a drone but regardless, I honestly wouldn't pay anything for this. Look elsewhere. ... show more

  • needs improvement
I’m pretty disappointed with this drone. The quality feels really cheap and not well-made. The controls are a bit shaky and it’s hard to get stable flight. The camera isn’t very clear either, which was a letdown. It seems overpriced for what you actually get. Battery life is short, so you can’t fly for very long. I wouldn’t recommend it for serious flying or photography. Maybe it’s okay for kids to play with very casually, but even then it’s not very durable. Overall, I feel like you’re not getting much value for the price. ... show more
