I have been a fan of RC cars, trucks, helicopters, planes, etc. for many years and I have driven many from the cheap Walmart ones to the really expensive hobby shop ones and I like this one because it sits right in the middle. It's not too expensive but it's definitely not cheap either. It is well built and can take a tumble without missing a beat. It runs very fast for it's size and size of motor. The controls are very responsive and will keep radio contact with the truck for at least 250 feet. So far away I can barely see to control it. Lol. The handheld controller uses 3 AA batteries and the RC truck has 2 - rechargeable batteries that comes with it. Each battery lasts up to 40 minutes of driving depending on the terrain, speed and ambient temperature. It has extra parts in case you lose one while jumping or doing tricks with it. You can change out the tires with others if you want to and everything is made to be replaced if something breaks on accident. All around a very nice and fun RC truck at a very incredible price for what you get. I highly recommend this one!

The last time I had an RC car was decades and decades ago. Remember “the Grasshopper?” If you do, well, that’s the one I had. When I saw this one, I couldn’t help but give it a try, at least, for the sake of nostalgia. Setup is very straightforward, and the truck is essentially ready to go right out of the box. The box it is shipped in is “display-quality” and is complete with glossy artwork and photos on it. Open the box and the truck is already assembled. Basically, charge the two included batteries, install three AA batteries in the controller, and you are just about ready to roll. Once you put a battery in the truck and connect it, you power-on the controller, and you are good to go. There is a small button on the truck near the battery that you can press to pair up the unit with the controller. After that, you are ready to rock. The controller has three speed settings. On the fastest setting, the little Jeep is aggressively fast and hyper responsive. It will happily lift the front wheels right off the ground during hard accelerations, and those accelerations are snappy – it’s more like a “launch” than an acceleration, lol. If you want to get a better feel for operating it, stick with the slowest or middle speed setting – it still rips but it’s a little less aggressive. Driving the truck in my yard is not problem – basically grass – and it has no issues traversing the terrain, and also, it’s perfectly comfortable on pavement. On the grass the truck actually tosses up a roost from all four tires when driven hard – it’s pretty cool to watch. It has four-wheel drive, but the differentials are not locked, but it seems to be a little biased toward the rear. Stomp on the throttle and the little truck squats a bit, and it grabs traction and just absolutely launches forward. The suspension is independent at each wheel and is fully functional but not adjustable. The rebound is super-snappy, so the little truck bounces a bit. The shocks are a basic coil-spring design and are not oil filled to control rebound/dampening, but they actually do work very well at keeping the truck well planted and controllable. I want to reiterate here that this RC setup is fast, at least by my standards. The little truck accelerates furiously and fiercely if asked to, especially on the fastest controller setting. If you blink, or if your reflexes and responses are not sharp and accurate, you will crash it, possibly hard. The top speed in the product description is said to be around 43 MPH, and I have to say that I do believe that is accurate. The truck is flat out fast and will power-slide like a champ on pavement and will send some earth flying in the dirt or on the grass. The build quality seems pretty good. The included directions show a complete assembly overview/schematic as well as diagrams and part numbers for replacement parts, so the good news is that it appears it is possible to obtain them. There is an email address in the directions as well, which I presume would be the contact point for replacement parts. I haven’t checked for generic parts, like tires yet, but that may be one of the first things that will need to be replaced if you drive the truck hard. The range on the unit seems to be as described at about 400 feet. It’s tough to say for sure based on conditions, but I have not had any issues with reception. The controller has the ability to adjust the trim as well as the ability to limit steering angles. As to runtime, it seems that 20 minutes per battery, depending on how you drive, is an accurate description. Using varying degrees of throttle, I stayed outdoors today on a single battery for at least 30-minutes. The truck does come with two batteries, so you get a bit of runtime with the two, but don’t expect them to recharge quickly at all. While you can recharge one battery while operating the other, it’s not a recipe for all-day fun because charging a depleted battery easily takes more than an hour if not a couple of hours. Swapping batteries involves removing four clips that hold the body to the chassis, which then exposes the battery. Remove one more clip which secures the battery and disconnect the lead, and you can swap in a new battery and reinstall the retainer and the body. There is also a small connector for the LED lights on the chassis. I don’t really have anything modern to compare this RC truck to. All I can say is that it’s fun, fast, and seems to be pretty durable as I have rolled and tumbled it on multiple occasions with no ill-effects. It’s also aesthetically, pretty darn cool to look at. The current price is about $110, and at that price point I’d have to say this is a solid four-star product. I would speculate that a serious RC enthusiast would not be impressed based on what is likely available out there these days, but for beginners, or folks just looking for something ready to roll “out of the box,” this truck is a lot of fun and it’s simple and easy to get started with. Depending on availability of spare parts, batteries, tires and such, whether through the company or other sources, I could see this being a five-star product. I’m definitely smiling when I’m using it.

The media could not be loaded. Super fast all-terrain brushless RC car in the shape of a truck with large wheels & an awesome design with great traction. I’m being completely honest when I saw this RC truck is super fast & takes of at high specs with sharp turning & practically flys when you press the trigger on the wireless remote control that also has some wheel tuning setting controls as well. The truck is equipped with LED lights, shock absorbent independent springs on the wheels, sway wheels for when it gets lifted up on a wheelie it balances itself & a brushless motor. The truck will be great to be used on many different turfs like the street pavement, dirt, grass & perhaps even snow. I have a lot of funny using this toy, makes me feel great at my age if 31 so a child or teenager using this RC toy will definitely have a lot of fun but be sure to play in an open & uncrowded area as it is very fast & don’t want to crash. The RC remote requires 3 AA batteries & the RC truck itself has 2 rechargeable lithium ion batteries that come with its own charger as well. The price listed for this RC truck is a bit high but totally worth it since it’s built well, great tire traction & drives super fast!

This is one of my favorite RC vehicles. I LOVE the styling. It's gorgeous. Love the spare tire and the jeep inspired styling. It certainly looks the part. The thing is fast too. And it handles great. It has a lot of upgrades already installed like full ball bearings, a brushless motor, metal parts where its most needed and 2 batteries. This is really fun to drive, jump and spin around. Wonderful truck!!!!
