Simply slide off the storage compartment to convert the flat bed surface to a free arm, perfect for sewing smaller cylindrical items as cuffs, sleeves, and baby clothes. The built-in LED light provides a brightly lit workspace. It has one 1-step, auto-size buttonhole, automatic needle threader and drop-in bobbin to make sewing a breeze.

This machine has handled everything I've thrown at it! Sewing garments from scratch, alterations, bags, heavy pillowcases, etc. Easy to use and reliable. There's only a minor or feature or two that I miss having versus other machines I own and use (like adjustable presser foot pressure). But it has way more features than any other machine I've seen in its price range (lots of stitches, adjustable stitch length and width, adjustable needle position, one-step buttonholer). The carrying case was too large for the machine. So I took the bottom packaging foam and placed it in the case. It worked perfectly. Not sure of the foam life but for now its great.
