Ordered these lights to replace some older strands and have been extremely impressed. I was skeptical at first because the bulbs and strands are so tiny, but those tiny lights pack a punch. They give off just as much if not more light than traditional strands, and the dimming feature is really sweet. Color changing options mean you don’t have to settle for 1 color. I ordered 2 sets to start and ended up ordering 2 more to cover my 9 ft tree. I rate at 4 stars overall because the remote is really finicky. Have to be standing close and pointing at just the right spot for it to work. There is a button the plug itself that cycles through the color options. Also, if you use more than 1 strand, 1 remote will control all the strands, which is really nice. Highly recommend these lights! ... show more

I like these. After spending this every year in cheap lights, replacing bulbs, etc... Used to be part of tradition, but the made in China crap cheapness makes it a task!!! So I went with these. They are nice! But I just tell you,... A whole stand, one strand of 500 lights, is not easy to put on. Maybe if they made 100 and you could connect as many as you want, but it still worked out after taking the time. I wish it had speed control of the lights and also better options,... Lots of potential for the lights but the relay box and remote functions are just ok... I don't regret buying, but wish that out of all these beautiful lights I could get a decent twinkle/cozy function ... show more

Wow! I was not expecting these tiny light bulbs to be so bright! Seemed like good value considering I was getting them online but I will caution they do not have the thick, durable looking wiring most Christmas lights have. Doesn’t seem to effect performance either in the rain or sun but it may be a concern for a whole house display, or where you want to run them straight along a roofline (I’ve found the thick, three-strand lighting is easier to keep in place with a standard mail rather than needing anything specific and fancy). But this worked great on my little apartment patio. I did not even ATTEMPT to set the timer so I have no idea if that works or not. ... show more

    • 500-light sets use flimsier wires than the 300-light sets

I bought three sets of 300 LEDs and four sets of 500 LEDs for outdoor use during the 2022/23 holiday season. All of them were warm white/multi by BrizLabs purchased from Amazon. My family preferred the light setting which combined white and multi at the same time - it was a great compromise between the two, in effect a more subtle multi. The 300 and 500-LED sets lights looked great together without mismatched colors or mismatched levels of brightness. The timers between all these separate lights stayed in close synchronization over the whole holiday period. HOWEVER, there are important differences between the two kinds of sets. Most importantly, the 300-LED sets use thicker wires (1.5 mm based on my digital caliber, including the insulation) while the 500-LED sets use thinner wires (1.3 mm). What's the practical difference? Well, there are 2x500=1,000 points where these thinner wires connect to light sockets, and a few times they broke clean off OR pulled out of the socket. I had to buy an extra 500-LED set after one failed within 5 days for this reason, and I had to throw out another 500-LED set at the end of the season because of these same failures. Meanwhile, none of the three 300-LED units have failed so far, and subjectively they feel tougher/more durable. Also note that the 500-LED and 300-LED units use different transforming plugs and different remote controls which are not compatible with each other. ... show more
