My hair suffers from coloring treatments at the salon so after I use regular shampoo & conditioner my hair is still frizzy looking so after being recommended by someone to try this deep conditioner after shampooing my hair,it was wonderful to use. My hair was now soft ,no longer frizzy,and easy to style. I just had a very intensive bleach job done. So far this has been the best hair mask I have ever used to treat the bleach damaged hair. Before this I would do egg mask, other color treated hair mask and oil but by far this has the most dramatic effect. My hair feels soft almost like before I bleached my hair. Definitely worth it.

This is a light weight mask that I use in the shower. I leave it in for a few minutes, and rinse it out. It leaves my hair feeling moisturized and soft. It has a good smell as well.

I like the product and it calms the frizz in my curly hair but I don't think there is a product on the market that can keep it calm once I go outside into the humidity. I will still continue to use it.

I have 3c/4a the curls. I bought this product a few months ago and was looking for something to repair some damage. I saw a little of a difference but to be honest, you can get way better products for cheaper prices. Even my at home oil treatments I make myself work better. I will say, it leaves my hair veryyyy soft and smooth and hydrated to the point where I could just rinse it out after shampoo and wear no other products all day. I’m not necessarily saying it doesn’t repair damage, just that it’s super overpriced for how little of a difference is there. For quality, not liquidity or thick, kinda in between. Me and my sister shared this bottle and got a good 10 uses (5 each) in total. Although our hair is medium length, we have thicker hair so it ran kinda quickly. Product was okay not bad. Recommendations: I’ve been just buying jojoba oil (or you can buy any organic carrier oils such as coconut oil, rosehip oil, grapeseed oil) and you can choose to heat it up for a few seconds or leave it alone up to you. Let it sit in your hair for an hour to two hours and then wash hair. This is so super yet so effective so try this for a start.

I have tried many products for my hair and my son’s hair. We both have curly hair, but his is more fragile. This is the only product so far that has helped both of us with our curls and makes a difference in making our hair appear alive again! We are in the pool and sun often during the summer and desperately need deep conditioning throughout the week- this product works so well at restoring our hair and bringing shine back to it. There wasn’t much to notice after the first use, but by the second there was a night and day difference. The price is great for the amount of product too.

I have fine, blonde hair that I have highlighted twice a year for a natural sun kissed look and I live in an area with hard water. I have a water softener and filter and I am on a constant search for the best conditioner for my hair because it always feels tangly. I have tried so many different brands over the years recommended by stylists and on my own (Oribe, Living Proof, Amika Soul Food, Fakkai Mask, Olapkex and many, many more). I stumbled upon Fekkai’s masks on a trip in Alaska because my hair was extra, super dry there and fell in love with how amazing my hair felt. Then during the pandemic in 2020 they stopped making it then rereleased it and the ‘new formula’ is horrible! So I retried both Oribe masks and they were terribly drying. I tried Amika Soul Food and it smells great and is the best I have found so far. After reading reviews, I thought I’d try Don’t Dispair to see if it could make my hair happy like Fekkai used to but it’s a hard NOPE. If your hair is fine like mine, don’t waste your money. This stuff is thin and watery. I would not even classify it as a mask. It is weak and made my hair very, very dry and stiff. I tried leaving it on for 10 minutes and also overnight plus the regular use , like a conditioner since I spent the money I was hoping it would work for something but it’s going to my boys or the trash. The Olaplex 5 is much more of a mask than this stuff. For reference, I currently use Olaplex shampoo(4), Condtioner (5) and Olaplex 3 and I alternate in Amika Soul Food and Olaplex 5 as my conditioner. I also use Fanola No Yellow once a week mixed with Olaplex 3 to keep out any gold or brassy tones. I hope this review saves someone who has hair like mine from spending money on this. Try Soul Food. It’s thick and smells nice and will make your hair feel much softer than Don’t Despair. Don’t Despair is like using a drug store brand so save your money. Look elsewhere.
