I have used multiple Brinno 720 P time lapse cameras over the years. They work well but they are not high enough resolution for my construction business. I just purchased this 1080 P TLC 2020 and used it on my first job. The clarity of the time lapse video is incredible to say the least. This would be 5 stars if it came with a program to load the videos on to. You have to download a program to see your videos and usually it has a watermark embedded into the video unless you purchase said program. Would be nice to have more interval options also.

    • 99 days battery, maybe if you take a few pics every hour..

Image quality is as expected. But, I made a video with every 5 seconds, and the batteries didn't last the full day. Compare that to my OLD Brinno, that will run every day, for weeks now, happily doing 5 second interval videos. Somehow Brinno has managed to make the battery life terrible. IF you only take a picture every few minutes or a few times an hour, it can probably last a long time, but for anything in the second's range, it's terrible. Then, the camera splits the files into chunks about 500 Kb each. Why? Again, the OLDER camera did NOT do this, it just makes a gigantic movie. Now, however, you will need to get all these chunks of files off the camera and use some software (not included) to combine them. If you, as I do, split your files into daily batches, this is just... SO annoying. Finally, the camera will NOT let me move files of the memory card using the cable. Yes, you can COPY them, but to delete, you need to take the memory card out. WHY.. So make sure you also have a micro-USB card reader handy, otherwise the memory card will fill up and you're stuck. The older camera also let you turn the viewfinder up and down. Not so anymore... Overall, besides the improved image quality, this camera is a step down on almost all other features... And I love my old Brinno, so this is just terribly disappointing. ... show more

I think this camera is great in function, but not completely thought out; great quality, and I appreciate the quick menu options. Cons, price of course. And for the price, I would expect the chassis to be waterproof; it's a shame this is an afterthought, and the necessity to purchase a case required to partake in the events that I believe is the majority of consumers intent (outdoor documentation). In addition to the case issue, I literally had this camera 1 minute, and the SDcard/USB-C cover broke off. A better fixation solution should be considered here. ... show more
