I got this product for my two dogs, and as soon as they figured out that snacks were going to come flying out of this thing, it had their attention! They really love it. We don’t give our dogs too many treats at a time, so we put dog food in it instead of treats. I can see how this might be really useful as a training tool to reward dogs on the go without having pockets full of treats or food. I got this for my dog for his birthday so fling treats at him randomly in a cute way all day. I washed it with warm soapy water a few days before his birthday. More like ran soapy water through it because it's very narrow in the handle. Hill that was very small kibble hills science diet small paws if you know what size that is. I had to flick it pretty hard to get any of the treats out and what are you came out 3 days later so it didn't dry out very well. The treats went everywhere so we had to move the tree throwing outside which he had fun with because he had to hunt for them in the grass but this is only a middling product for me. Cute but not super practical but a magic one for treat isn't really a practical product anyway so make your decision for $8 not bad. ... show more

My Frenchie loves to try and catch treats but the way you have to shake kind of hard to get them out of this, they fly too fast. He still has fun running around picking up the treats. My Doberman hates this thing. Every time I shake it he runs like I’m going to hit him or throw it at him. He won’t come near it. I tried it with tiny bone shaped treats and it didn’t work well. They got stuck a lot. I really think you have to use round or square treats. It’s a fun idea I guess. It’s made well enough. I could see it being fun for some people. I like the idea of this, but it doesn't work quite the way that I had hoped. We had some small round treats, similar in shape to typical dry dog food, and I put some of those in this wand. It was easy to get the treats in the wand, but they didn't come out quite as easily. I've found that the best way to ensure that they will come out is to tilt the opening toward the floor or the ground. Unfortunately, when I do that, the treats just sort of fall to the ground rather than flying. Overall, while I think this is a fun idea, the execution doesn't work quite the way that I'd anticipated. Mostly, I just end up with nothing coming out or a mess of treats falling to the ground all at once. ... show more
