The Breitling Navitimer. It’s a legendary timepiece for a reason. I bought this a couple weeks ago from a Breitling Boutique, and I’ve enjoyed it a lot since then! This 41mm version is a stunning and solid tribute to the original B01 version. It’s definitely a bit more affordable, and comes in a very comfortable size; it doesn’t hog up a lot your wrist, but doesn’t sacrifice presence either. Beneath the case back, is the Breitling 13 (Valjoux 7750) caliber. It is a workhorse chronograph movement, and is COSC certified. Happy to say this timepiece keeps within the promised tolerances. You can also download the watch’s COSC certificate once you’ve registered it through Breitling’s website. Some people may be put off by the 12-9-6 layout of the subdials, but it didn’t bother me. It’s actually kinda refreshing to see something other than the usual 3-6-9. The bi-directional slide rule bezel is alive and well in this watch, and gives the Navitimer its distinct character. A bit of a challenge to learn, but fun to use. The super gorgeous pilot bracelet is polished to a mirror finish, and gives the watch a nice bling factor. Chronograph function works as promised, and the pushers are solid and tight. This watch has the sensitivity of a dress watch, as its WR is only 30 meters (3 bars). So yea, don’t get it wet.
