I assembled this by myself last night. It took more than the 30 minutes the instructions say it will take. But it is doable solo. If you’re a first timer in putting furniture together, you’ll find the instructions a challenge as they aren’t very clear. If you’ve assembled stuff quite a bit, go with your gut. One recommendation I would make is to install the LED lights on the bottom of the top pice before you put the top on otherwise you’ll have very little room for a screw driver to attach the clamps. My piece does have a scratch on the top so check yours carefully before fully assembling. My favorite part is the outlets on the top. But be aware that the LED light strips use a USB so you might use one of your available USB ports or get an extension strip with USB ports to put behind the piece. The one thing I don’t like is the LED light cords are so visible. Sure I can hide them by putting something in those cubbies but I wish the manufacturer would have come up with a different way. The media could not be loaded. After buying a new house without a fireplace, I knew this was going to be my 1st purchase. After reviewing many units, the reviews are what ultimately made my decision. My 15 yr old son put this together in about 3 hours. Yes thank goodness he’s handy. The instructions were good & thanks for the few extra pieces of hardware. Another review mentioned a YouTube video about the fireplace setup & my son said it was helpful. I really like the the low profile, it’s definitely sturdy & could have a much bigger tv, I like the open shelves & the cabinets to hide junk. The best feature obviously is the fireplace. The controls are easy to use on the unit because the remote is tiny & I can foresee it getting lost. The color combinations are plenty for any holiday or mood. The heat works well & you can feel it without heating up the unit. I’m really happy with this purchase as it really is the focal point of my great room & I highly recommend it. ... show more

I love this piece. I am not sure the wood is quality but it’s not terrible. The size is perfect for me. I bought it for the fireplace and it’s been great so far.

The media could not be loaded. The boxes arrived earlier than expected which is usually a great thing but I had other projects that week so there wasn't room for it to come in the house when I arrived as I had just unloaded a 10 x 10 storage into the living room so I had to rush to get things out of the way for it to come inside. It took me a couple of days to finally get time to assemble. Instantly I see parts in the box are damaged, I loaded one pic. It has several spots like this. This is particle board so not forgiving when it is damaged so whoever packed it saw this crap. The book of parts says one thing but whoever put the stickers on them have the wrong letters on the parts so it was time consuming trying to figure out how to put it together plus identify all of the parts. The project is so back and forth the way the book tells you to do things. I'll save you the frustration it is day two for me and even when an electric drill I'm STILL not done. The doors are a pain in the 🤬 to get on, it is a lot of screwing and undoing to figure it out. So add your doors before doing the sides 4 and 5 not at the end. Also for those that don't know put your c srews in by taking the plastic off, press it in then add the screw back. The part b which is a cirçle to lock the screw in place should be put on after the screw is in place. If you mess up grab some kid scissors for $1 and if fits perfectly and pulls out. The part 7 and 8 are mixed up, small shelves in the middle not the big ones. The doors have a protective film on the front of them but mine was damaged and the door in that area is damaged so I'll have to add decor or accept the eye sore because I'm on a cane and not able to get this crap to the store to be returned. It says you need two people to assemble but so far I'm doing fine at the cost of my sanity. I'm doing the review now because I needed a rest from getting up and down from the floor fighting with the doors. At this point seems easier to just disassemble the top, sides, and back just to get these doors in place. Sad right. I hate this with every fiber in my body, I can do construction I've put everything in my homes together but this is a time I would need a refund because of all of the issues and time. I'm well over eight hours on this. They even put the stickers on the panels that face the front and back so you still have to clean them off. My parts pack was open so I'm wondering if someone packing it didn't care of if this was a return. I've had to miss two days of work on this thing to get it out the floor it's still here ugh... The box was missing pieces so had to order some and pay for shipping on them. This project sucks, I don't even want the thing at this point. Good luck. I'll update if it ever gets finished or find a way to return it so they come get it. Idk but this isn't how I pictured this when I ordered it. The remote didn't work so I purchased a set of them CR2025 took forever and a lot to get the remote open you need a flat head screw driver that will scratch it up, and even with the change doesn't work. The fire place has a way to change it manually but the remote was a feature I wanted. The thing beeps to change colors so it gets annoying when attempting. It says in the booklet you can't sit it on carpet but not sure if they mean the console is okay for carpet or just don't use the fireplace part. The manual isn't all in English you have to guess at what they are trying to say. The booklet also says you can only use it 23.62 inches from the wall. I don't know if that means I lose two feet of wall space or if I have that gap space behind the heater part. They should have explained that so our homes don't burn down. The lighting says to drill holes into the plywood that aren't marked so not sure how long the tape will hold them up. I'm not drilling upside down in a small space that may break it. So far the lights changing are pretty but having the control by the floor and having arthritis and spinal conditions it isn't as fun to change the colors and wait to find a decent combo so for me, it's a regretable purchase and extra time writing a long review buying spare parts twice, and now having to find these folks and see how long I have to wait to get a remote is questionable with the holiday season so best of luck not worth it for me. ... show more

Easy to assemble Nice looking for our space Heats well and will be great for puppy cuddles in winter. Only thing I wish not anything they can do is I wish it was 3 inches taller for more space. I use ours as a book and game storage. Since our dogs Ike to be naughty.
