The media could not be loaded. So, I had asked my daughter's grandparents to get her Rody for Xmas and they got her the Waddle Unicorn. That thing is terrible. It's hard as a rock. I'm 150lbs and can sit on it and it doesn't deflate and I can't even get it to bounce. Probably because it's made of plastic and not rubber. I think they got it bc it was $30 cheaper and was a total waste of money (it reminds me of Charlie the Unicorn heading to Candy Mountain) as it just sits in the corner of my daughter's room..all alone.. I feel bad for Charlie. Now! Finally! She got Rody for her birthday from her Godmother and she's not home yet but I can tell a huge difference. First, super easy to inflate. We had the pump from poor old Waddle Charlie. Rubber is super durable and smooth. I've been dropping Rody over and over to see if he bounces and he sure does! I can't wait for her to come home and see him! Sorry, Charlie!

I bought this for my little guy who just turned 2 after seeing it at a friend's house. He's had a blast with Rody. I like that it's not loud and he tires himself out playing with it. He will just sit on Rody like a chair to watch TV or bounce around on him. He's also had his stuffed animals sitting on it & bounced them around. Rody is a good design so that my son isn't wobbly on him and can sit comfortably with out me worrying that he's going to fall over. He's able to get off & on Rody by himself though he is a larger than average 2 year old (he wears a size 4 or 5). It seems to be a very durable toy & was easy to inflate (I did buy the pump that the company who makes Rody sells, the reviews for the knock off pump were bad so I skipped that). I also like that this is latex free so it's not an allergy issue for him. My older kids have been having a great time on him, too. The weight limit is listed as up to 250 lbs & I believe it. All my kids are very tall for their age (my 12 year old daughter is 5'11 and my 9 year old is 4'9) but they still fit on Rody and have been enjoying him as well. Though now they are begging for Rody Max, the larger size. LOL

Our physically maniacial 2 year old daughter got this for Christmas. After a few bumps and bruises, she's a pro. It looks so much fun that I would actually like to sit on it. Even our relatively small 7 1/2 year old loves Rody. One problem we face is the Rody World War when one wants to use it and the other has it, so perhaps you would be wise to have two if that is applicable. Our 7 1/2 year old daughter has actually asked for the Rody Max which is supposed to withstand heavier children. They beat the heck out of the poor guy, but he faithfully bounces them all over the place. I am impressed with how much abuse it has taken. They use his ears as controllers. Let's not discuss what they jammed in its inflation hole area and why they did it. We used our own bicycle tire pump with the adapter that came with Rody to add air. We have primarily used Rody indoors as we live in a snowy place. I've got visions of a projectile 2 year old if it hits a patch of ice. Rody has encouraged races and Olympic-type games. It gets a bit grimy (what does that say for my house?) after being bopped around for a few weeks, but some spray cleaner will handle that. Definitely a good toy to buy. Durable, fun, and helps them burn off their energy.

We bought this for our 19 month-old daughter for Christmas this year. She loves to bounce, so I specifically looked for a toy that would allow her to bounce like the wild thing that she is. Rody is perfect!! We bought the base that allows her to use it as a rocking toy as well. She can still bounce on it with the rocker attached, so she gets twice as much fun out of one toy. I read in other reviews about Rody tipping over when not using the rocker - she only used it without the rocker for a few minutes and did tip over, but that was part of the fun for her. We put the rocker on to see what it was like and ended up just leaving it on since she can still bounce on it with the rocker attached. Note - you have to add/remove the rocker while Rody is deflated. Rody is made out of a super-thick rubber material, so it appears to be very durable. The rocking base (sold separately) is very sturdy too. This is already one of her favorite Christmas toys!! I love seeing how much fun she has playing with Rody - very satisfying purchase!

My daughter seems to not get the hang of it. She almost looks too big for it (she's 2) or the product seems to not inflate all the way (but we've inflated it to the max, where it seems like it's about to burst). She falls off easily and doesn't bounce well on it. I thought it would be like the videos but instead of bouncing up and down my daughter seems to lose her balance on it quickly. Maybe it's just because when I first gave this to my daughter she was still trying to balance out having a large head (don't toddlers look like cute bobble heads, lol) but her balancing skills are much better now. I'll try to give it to her again and see if she can play with it more now. Before she would bounce and go flying off the thing but I think she's gotten more skills at balancing the past 4 months and will be able to use this more in the spring. I like it because it's adorable and seems like it will be a ton of fun once she gets used to the concept. She really does have fun on it the times I let her play but I always have to put pillows around her and be on alert in case she falls. As she gets older though she'll have a blast.

My daughter played with this at a friend's house and absolutely loved it! So I knew I had to get her one! She loves it!! It helps her with balance, coordination, and she just has a fun time playing on/with it! I would definitely recommend getting it! Also-the pump for it does come with the horse-don't order another one like I did!!
