We have a slide hitch in our truck and were having problems with the standard straight cable that comes on the fifth wheel for the trailer brake. When the hitch would slide and turn, we were getting too much slack if a turn was very tight, then the cable would get caught on the rails when we straightened back out. We decided to try this cable because it is actually a little bit longer than the original, but with the springs it does not have as much slack and doesn't hang down to the rails. Using this to connect a horse trailer emergency brake to the truck. The cable is plenty long enough to go around corners, but the coiling keeps everything tidy and up out of the way. The cable is a very bright red and the plastic coating is strong enough to protect the wire. The D-clip is very large and easily clips into the chain hook on the truck without interfering. The key-ring that connects to the brake tab also works well, but being right handed, the opposite direction overlap would have made it easier to install.
