I previously bought the round ones of this same brand, and they were made of a nice glass-like material. These ones are more plastic-y. They are still nice, but they are different from the round ones.

I expected higher quality materials for the price paid. Light weight plastic. The tops fit well and seal well. (The sound of air escaping as you place the lid on is reassuring.)
