I ordered these mics because I constantly need options for different events I host or manage. I generally don't order permanent wire mics, as I prefer being able to use XLR cables that are the appropriate length to the need. But for this price point, I figured if these were good at all, they would be great for speaking events or Karaoke. The first thing I noticed is that they come with a larger mic bag to allow you to hold the mic, cable, and a "p" sheild. The actual materials used are a generic plastic for most of the exterior of the mic. The cable is a standard 1/4" instrument cable. So, while this definitely is what it is, the quality of the sound far exceeded my expectations. The audio is clear and there is no distortion. I definitely need to be pretty close to the mic to get the best tone and sound from the mic, but for simple uses, it is tough to beat at this price. I tested it as a vocal mic duirng a band rehearsal and sounded fine and didn't require too much EQ work to get a solid sound. I do have to get it right next to my mouth to get the best out of it, but it was better than I thought it would be for sure. ... show more

    • Quality construction and sound with good storage pouches.
Professional quality sound and lightweight but tough-enough plastic housings with strong metal heads. The cardioid pattern is wider than shown and if you need excellent rear isolation probably not the best, but for wired vocal mics for most applications these will perform very well. They also picked up the congas and toms very nicely in my percussion rack when I tried them through the line mixer there. Both performed identically in my tests. They come in their own leather pouches with all the accessories shown, and everything is top quality for the value. ... show more

Excellent results, includes adapters from 6.35mm to 3.5mm for use with various devices. I've used it on my PC and the results are a great likeness to my voice, with a decent range for the condenser mic. However, note that the mic is not unidirectional.

    • Pleasantly surprised!
I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of these microphones. I wanted this set of two mics, because I figured if we ever used the karaoke machine and forgot to charge the batteries in the mics, we could use these corded ones. I honestly didn't expect much given the low price, but when I opened the box and plugged these into my karaoke machine, I was very happily surprised by the quality.
