So what is not to like in a low priced head unit? Lots of power, plenty of features and really good radio reception. Bluetooth connectivity for phone and music is easy. The real low for is just that the text on the buttons is too small to read. You have to familiarize yourself with what everything does before driving. That is just a bad design. Once you know where everything is, answering the phone, choosing presets or changing the source is fine. The clock won't stay on, but that is most aftermarket units. You also won't get any extra info for calls or Bluetooth music. My state requires hands free phone use and this did it for me. Also, you can adjust the radio and display settings through the one knob. Really intuitive. I have never needed the remote. ... show more

My expectations were blown away by this item. Seriously what do you expect for such a little amount of money?!!! It works as expected, bluetooth works seamlessly, sound quality is great for what it is, etc. Can't get much better for something so small and inexpensive. Since there's no mechanical drives or mechanism it is extremely small and light, there's hardly anything to it. There are a few things I think could be better. One, the main control knob is shallow and slippery chrome. It should be a little taller and have a knurled knob or rubber insert to make it easier to grasp. I've noticed some signal leak coming from the tuning section is the volume is high and no music is playing while your using the bluetooth connection. It's very faint, but it's there. It wouldn't stop my from installing this on basic transport or wherever something expensive isn't desirable. Would certainly buy it again as needed. ... show more

This thing is not for someone looking for ultra high quality sound system... It was under $30...it has RCA hookups in back, will play audio files thru auxiliary input, USB, or you can use SD card behind faceplate. Bluetooth and AM/FM. the USB input will act as a phone charger too, that is cool. It doesn't offer different color LED display... EQ adjust bass and treble, but no mid range. It does allow fade and balance adjustments so if you're testing speakers, you can isolate each one individually. The clock is easy to set, but you have to press clock button to temporarily view it, you can't make clock permanent display. This kind of annoys me. The remote must be held close to stereo or it doesn't work, but who the hell uses a remote for their car stereo anyway? I haven't used hands free BT call features yet, there's a microphone on faceplate, but I can't speak to its quality. Doesn't have hookup for satellite antenna or any Sirius support, which kind of sucks. I haven't used with amp or subs, can't speak to that either. The sound quality is decent... Better than old stereo, but that one had been wired poorly. I think a cat mightve installed old stereo, or some other species, new one installed easy on my 97 Nissan 200SX. That doesn't really speak to its quality, since all stereos install the same way. I did have to rely on the flimsy metal tabs to secure it to my dash kit, since the screw holes didn't line up... It doesn't go in as deep as typical single DIN unit, on account of there being no CD player. I put duct tape and foam padding in there to keep it from movement, although it would've probably been okay without that. I am ASE certified in automotive electrical work, this came relatively easy for me, I've installed many systems. If you're lookin something low price that will provide decent sound and Bluetooth capabilities, and you've realized how obsolete CDs are, this isn't a bad choice. ... show more

I am not normally someone to review amazon products as i feel most comments others have written summarize products well. But I feel there is a disconnect here with many people who bought this. I bought this radio for my 03 Subaru Impreza since it still had the stock radio, this was the cheapest I could find with bluetooth and figured what the heck. Many people said it's too quiet or the audio quality over bluetooth is meh at best. I had to look up a wiring guide but other than that it was regular difficulty to put in and once you fiddle with the settings a little it honestly sounds great. It has a setting literally called "Loud" you can turn on or off and adjusting the bass and treble a little went a long way. for the price it's honestly a really solid radio and i'm more worried other people who reviewed it complained about it without trying to fix anything or wired the radio improperly. TL:DR Solid radio for the price, not hard to instal, a couple minutes of adjusting the settings is all that it needs. ... show more

Worked fine for a few hours but the volume knob stopped working I can turn volume up and down with remote just fine but this is bs that it is already having issues

Very basic radio. I was looking for an inexpensive radio to install in my car so I can sell it. Didn't want to leave my higher end radio in. CD player wasn't necessary. Now days all I use is USB drives or bluetooth. That being said I was pleasantly surprised. I paired the radio with a "2000" watt 4 channel autotek amp and infinity kappa 6.5's in the doors. I did not connect the speakers to the radio. The sound is great. Very clear and loud. I set the crossover on the amp to about 100hz. Adjusted the gain to 30 on the radio. I was expecting the radio to be super cheap but it does what I wanted it to. Bluetooth works great. The built in mic isn't the greatest on phone calls but does work none the less. For the price this radio is great. I would definitely buy again for a cheap replacement. Would not buy if you're going high end on other stuff. No built in crossover. Only bass and treble adjustments (which I expected from a radio this cheap). ... show more
