My sister brought a variety of meats and cheeses for appetizers and when I brought out the partyclette things went from good to great. Probably the best cheese to melt was a swiss which I eventually paired with a slice of Soppressata which I poured over a thin sliced baguette. The first time I tried it we used an aged gouda which we poured over seasoned croutons (all I could find) which also turned out to be amazing. This is a nice melter if you only have a couple people but if you have a group it’s too small to melt enough cheese at one time for multiple people. It works well though and was easy to clean.

Now, melted cheese is on the daily menu. Is really working nicely. A bit tinny maybe the length of your palm but it's ok. Mind the sharp-edged rod that holds the handle, because I didn't, and I got a long cut on my finger and bled when I first open it. Few days of making melted cheese and even frying Halloumi Cheese, and the candles are not gone yet. ... show more

Thought this was a little hokey, when I opened it, but it is great! Works so well and easily. Great for a little snack, or works well, basically unattended, at a cocktail party! Cleans up very easily, I love it. Lots of my friends will be getting it for Christmas this year!
