When this arrived, I was shocked at the weight of this. There was a considerable heft to the box. When I opened the box, I was greeted by a blue marvel of a speaker. To me it looks very "Bose", and I mean that in the best way. But make no mistake, this is not a speaker you would clip to a fanny pack and walk around (believe me, I tried!) Instead, this is a party machine in an extremely compact size. I was SHOCKED at the sound this was able to produce, both in clarity and volume. Setup process was easy, although I did have a little trouble getting the speaker connected in the Bose App. If you have ever paired a Bluetooth device before, this will be a breeze. The buttons feel high quality. They are easy to press, yet are indented do you do not accidentally press them as you are moving the speaker around. I have been using this all over the house and yard. Since it is loud yet portable, I have found myself wanting to use it over other speakers that I have plugged in. In fact in my garage I am getting rid of a pair of older speakers to exclusively use this the SoundLink Plus because it sounds SOOO much better and it's just easier to deal with. Overall, this is yet another high quality Bose product that does not disappoint. It functions better than others in this space, easily connects with Bluetooth, and is a tremendous value. But understand what this is made for (it is a heavy loud speaker) and you'll love it. I will be packing this in the care to go with us on all of our adventures! ... show more

This speaker is a fun one. It boasts great bass and sound quality. I love a variety of music and love pool parties and hosting bbqs and this has been a great summer addition. I knew I couldn’t go wrong choosing Bose. I absolutely love this speaker. The sound quality is impressive in a compact device. Crisp highs, deep bass, and a really rich, full sound that fills the room (or outdoor space) without distortion. For such a compact speaker, it honestly exceeded my expectations. It pairs easily with my phone, and the Bluetooth connection is solid. I’ve used it everywhere from kitchen dance parties with my toddlers to backyard hangouts and even while traveling. The battery life is great and charges pretty quickly too. I also appreciate the sleek design. It looks and feels high-end but is durable enough to toss in a bag without worry. You can tell it’s made to last. It does weigh over 3lbs so you are lugging a bigger portable speaker than normal. However, if you’re looking for a portable speaker that delivers truly impressive sound in a small, easy-to-carry size, this is 100% worth it. I have never owned a Bose product before, so I was excited to upgrade my Bluetooth speaker. Before opening the box, the first thing that I noticed was how heavy this is. Weighs a little over 3 lbs. First, I charged it which took about 5 hours. Getting the speaker connected to my phone was a breeze. Just power on the speaker and your phone instantly recognizes it. Prompts you to download the Bose app, which has more features than the speaker itself. You can adjust the bass, mid-range, and treble levels as well as checking the battery level. The sound is loud! Definitely an outdoor speaker! I first tested this inside at a low volume which I was able to hear throughout my whole house. The extra features are great! It's durable, dust, and waterproof, so I don't have to worry about it being near the pool or getting dirty when I'm working outside. This has a battery of up to 20 hours, depending on the volume level. Also has a USB-C charge out which is great for charging your phone. Build quality: This build is sleek, sturdy, and water-resistant. I’ve taken it for camping and on hikes, and it’s held up beautifully. With a Single charge, the battery lasted about 17 hours, for a weekend trip of camping and the charging pace is also good. Ease of setup: I use iPhone and Spotify to stream music on the speaker. This is a good choice for audiophiles seeking refined audio in a rugged, stylish package. Sound quality: The speaker is great on sound clarity, vocal presence, and outdoor performance. The sound quality rivals much larger units. My friends love the sound and punch this small speaker delivers. The Bass is impactful, but I love hearing the acoustic and vocal tracks in this speaker. The speaker has good tonal richness and build quality and is easily cleanable with a wet cloth as well, with lot of outdoor use. Apple iPhone Bose App: The bose app has a multi-point connection - to allow pairing of multiple devices at once. We are able to stream music from 3 devices in turns. The Bose App has options for customization via app EQ and playlist controls. EQ has Bass, Mid and Treble adjustments with a very easy UI. I have used this speaker extensively during my home workouts . I am planning to have this as a mandatory item in the summer barbecue and parties. I always carry my macbook when I travel, and now this speaker has made into that list ... show more

Plesantly surprised how good the speaker sounds compared to others. it's pretty close to a party speaker without the party speaker footprint. I tried getting a video of it but between cleaning, shirt fundraised and remodeling, everything is a mess. we have a 1200sqft house and can hear it throughout the house easily, even on the front porch when the door shuts. very easy to connect to and easy to control. the equalizer and volume controls in the Bose app is nice also. it's come in handy for porch movies, gardening and while my son plays video games w music playing. another favorite is the battery life. used it in a car that didn't have a radio for a 2 hr drive and still had plenty of battery to clean house when got home. I like the speaker overall, upcoming girls trip may be the real test ... show more

This speaker blew my expectations away. I was coming from an older B&O speaker, and didn’t know if it could match it but it did if not exceed it. It charges quickly, although charging my phone isn’t something I’ve done yet with the speaker and probably won’t. This speaker is used outdoors a lot and it gets plenty loud in almost any environment, including the beach. It's BOSE! Sounds quality is amazing - indoors or outside. The bass and treble are so clear, it sounds like you are listening live! I'm truly enjoying music again. As far as connecting Bluetooth and other practical matters, instructors are almost non existent but readily available on the internet and operating it is intuitive and oh so easy anyhow.
