The sound is actually too good and clear at times if a person had the microphone gain up too high and you can hear all the wet parts of their mouth slopping around (looking at you, NPR). Headphones are refurbished, but they look like new and they work great. Battery life is very good. All controls work as they should. Sound and noise cancellation are also very good. They have quickly become my favorite set of headphones. No regrets at all about buying them. The only thing I'd criticize is the internal microphone. It works and people have told me they can hear me ok, but sound quality is not as good as a headset with an external microphone. For that reason I don't use these for phone calls, Skype sessions, etc. ... show more

World class noise cancellation. I compared against Sennheiser 4.50. Bose is better. I compared against Sony's best, at Best Buy. Bose is better. Sound is awesome. Phone conversations are awesome with friends (with Bluetooth paired to phone). I was on a loud plane and it's awesome to have this ready to go. At take-off, the plane's engines actually overcame the headphone's ability to compensate, and I could hear the engine for split-seconds. Comfort: My ears do get a little warm under the pads. Instead of faux leather, I wish the pads were leather. Maybe an aftermarket product could fix this. ... show more

This is the third set of headphones that I have purchased. I work at home and needed to be able to concentrate on my work. When I purchased this set I decided to go with the Bose brand because my husband told me he thought they would work better. He was right !! I use them almost daily and listen to Spotify while working. This headset allows me to talk and hear clearly on my phone calls that come in and I like the fact that it will read text I receive and asks me if I want to reply. The look, the feel, the sound...exceptional! My friend recommended I buy a pair of Bose bc every time I talk to him when he’s using them, I hear the sounds around him before I hear him. Especially early in the morning, I hear the sharp crystal clear sounds of the birds chirping. I opened the box they arrived in & they were packed so well.
