  • Great but no fine tune adjust for laser up/down
I love this thing. It saved my butt on this pjt where the whole room is tiled. The only thing I don't like is the attachment fir the laser doesn't have a vertical fine tune adjustment so you have to release the clamp from the pole move it to where you want, then tighten it back down. Hopefully where you want it. But other than that it's great. I'm currently looking for a new laser attachment that has fine adjust on it ... show more

  • Overlooked tool. That now I can’t do without.
Bosch quality. Over the top engineered. Super thick and strong. Five stars.

  • It is sturdy but it is clumsy to use compared to my old laser jamb
For years I used the original laser jamb. It was quick to set up and very easy to make big or micro adjustments to the height of the laser. This rig does everything my laser jamb did but it is not as easy to use. I accidentally broke the bottom foot of my laser jamb and got this as a replacement. I think the Bosch will last and the spring load on the top is a nice feature for setting it up though the twist feature to lock the height is akward compared to my old laser jamb. The captive bold securely hold the laser onto the rig. ... show more

  • A tic pricey but it's what you want
So you will want to par this with the Bosch positioning device for the finer adjustments. The mount that this comes with is only good for rough adjustments.

  • Well made, nice holder - works with any 1/4 20 accessory (camera, laser tape, etc.)
I accidentally ordered this - no idea how. When the pole arrived I had every intention of returning it - until I saw how well this thing is constructed. I have several telescoping poles that I use for hanging drywall, holding up cabinets, and pinning tarps to form a temporary wall. This pole telescopes more than those do - up to 11 1/2 feet. It can also be used to pin tarps, etc. At first I was confused by the locking mechanism. I tried to turn the plastic coupler. Nope. You turn the pole sections to lock them. The top several inches is a shock-type spring thingie. You extend the pole, compressing that against the ceiling, then tighten everything. Works great. This pole included the mounting hardware for a laser - it's basically a synthetic clamp that would attach to ANY pole, with a snap-in bracket with the 1/4-20 thread. This will hold a laser tape, camera - anything with that thread. I'll probably use it as much for my camera as the laser tape - tripods tend to get kicked over on the job. It's also impressively heavy. ... show more

  • Nice add-on for your laser level.
Could you make something that is similar? Yes, but this is very well thought out and worth it for your laser level. The top has a spring for tension against the ceiling/cross beam etc. that I've left up for a month in the same spot with no issues. Extends I think to 11' which is much taller than any tripod out there. Fully collapsed I think maybe 5' which fits even in a small car without issues. Comes with the mount that makes height adjustments a breeze for the laser level. The only reason I take a star off is because I thought when I got it on sale it was a little steep, and the price is higher now. However, if you are a professional installer/contractor etc. (I'm not) then just charge an extra $20 to your client LOL. ... show more

  • Recommend non scuff white rubber
Pole seems very well made and heavy Duty. Tried it out right away and noticed it leaves black scuff marks on the ceiling. Not a good idea in customers home. My recommendation is to use a non scuff white rubber pad for both floor and ceiling. Another draw back I felt was it’s hard to adjust to get the proper height to lock in. Possibility it may need to wear in some. Over all a decent product but not worth 5 stars in my opinion. ... show more

  • A Far Better Value Than You Expect!
I was quite reticent to spend nearly $100 on a telescoping pole for my GLL3-80 Laser Level thinking how could a "broomstick" cost so much. I was very pleasantly surprised when this showed up on my doorstep. The telescoping range is far longer than you think, and it is SOLID. It feels very durable and quite heavy, promising to endure many years on the jobsite without protest. While this product is arguably overkill for most (a consumer does not necessarily need the durability and features provided by this mount) it leaves nothing to be desired; it holds whatever length you set very well, has rubberized, non-slip ends, and is spring loaded so your laser level does not come crashing if you knock the ceiling or fail to adjust the height properly. I would recommend this without reservation to any user but will venture that the features and quality offered by this mount are perfect for years on a jobsite and actually merit the cost. ... show more
