    • A Sad Disappointment - I So Wanted Them To Work

As an avid rider of many different styles, I’m a bit of a gear hound. Yes, I’m an ATGATT guy, and whether I am off-road, during, are doing a bit of both on an ADV bike, I always wear armor. Recently, I was wanting to upgrade the armor and one of my jackets from a CE level one to a level two. I also wanted to get reactive armor like these. I was a little disappointed to see that the shoulders and elbow armor water level two, in the back is only level one. I didn’t notice this until after receiving the Armor in the mail. I should’ve read the description a little bit better. I do have to say that this Armor seems to be as good as any of the name-brand Armor with a higher price tags. Just like them, it is very pliable and soft, yet on the impact, it hardens immediately. I was very impressed with that aspect. My main disappointment, though, was that this Armor is small. I’m 6’4, and this Armor would probably fit in a small jacket, not my 2X jacket. It is incredibly small compared to my regular armor. The ad did not come with the option for different sizes, and I found no description saying that it was for kids or someone much smaller. (Maybe I did and I need to go back and read it again). Overall, I think it is a quality armor if it fits your body size. The price point is much better than that of the name brand, but if you’re a full grown man, you might want to look at the measurements before purchasing. ... show more

These pads fit nicely in the built in pockets for my Merlin leather jacket. The pads are slim, do not add a lot of weight ti the jacket, and more importantly feel comparable to the original pads that came with my jacket. Thankfully I've yet to test impact durability, but they have a good safety rating so I feel confident with them installed. One huge bonus is that the pads do not have a heinous order as I've found in other D30 products! ... show more

The orange really stands out in my black mesh jacket and I think it makes people look at it more than they would if it blended in better. Kind of like accidental high visibility. In a textile jacket it isn't noticeable at all. As a matter of fact, it kept me a bit cooler than the back protector that came with the jacket. The one that came with the jacket was definitely not CE level 2. I do wish it were just a bit more flexible, though. Maybe that just comes with the territory, though. I don't have any other CE level 2 protection but I've wanted it. Price has always been an issue. The stuff is usually pretty expensive for each piece. It's very breathable and it's nice and thick. I am quite confident that it will absorb and spread out a lot of impact that might otherwise be quite damaging. I honestly have difficulty accepting that I got the back protector, shoulder protectors, and elbow protectors for an advertised cost of less than just a back protector from other manufacturers that may be more familiar to motorcyclists in the United States. I think I'll order 2 more sets for my fall and winter jackets. Does this company make them for motorcycle pants yet? I should start wearing the pants, too. ... show more

This is excellent riding armor - soft and pliable until struck, then it is rock hard until pressure is released, then soft and pliable again. It's like magic! Very nicely manufactured armor - great materials and quality in my opinion. Happy to have ordered it and to have been able to put it to the test. Ride for the slide, my dudes! The back armor is very similar to my armor received from Icon though it has a little less flexibility to it. That doesn't hinder its performance at all for me. The shoulders and elbows are shaped really nicely compared to ones that use the same shape for shoulders/elbows/knees. These fit well into my Scorpion Covert Flannel and provide some peace of mind while riding. I hope to not test its ability in a crash. ... show more
