It is much better than bending completely over but difinitely some room for improvement for those of us that are average height 5'6". Snap on "feet" for the tubs to avoid bending. The elevated tub does help. If they offered additional snap on feet to elevate this tub it would make this tub perfect! It is an awkward height for those trying to avoid back pain. GUARANTEE you will STILL have back pain just not as severe. Answer is easy snap of feet. The drain hose could also use a snap on attachment to keep it from falling off multiple times during use. I found that using a old nylon stocking at the end of the drain hose helped catch all the hair clumps from going down my drain. Easy pull off and discard stock and hair balls. I so hope that the manufacture will consider this and send us some height adjusters of some sort then this could be a PERFECT tub for all. ... show more

It’s a big red bathtub - you can purchase a $20 or less tub, drill a hole in the bottom, buy a plastic hose for draining purposes, and basically have the same thing that I stupidly paid over $120 on. The legs are not as sturdy as I would have expected for this amount of money! The directions provided are VERY limited. My tub came with extra pieces, causing me to rack my brain for an hour trying to figure out how they fit into the equation. I think there were maybe 12 steps total on the directions sheet showing how to put the tub “together”. Each step had a black and white accompanying picture which was either blurry or difficult to make out the details. If you are starting a small business grooming dogs and/or cats in your neighborhood, then maybe you would get your money’s worth from this purchase but for private use only (on your animals) this is definitely NOT worth the $120+ you will spend on this tub! ... show more

I love this bath tub! Let me do you a favor and let you know that you NEED this NOW!!! We have 2 dogs that both hate baths but they both love them in this tub. They sat the entire time and felt secure. I started by clipping hair, shaving the bum, expressing glands, cleaning ears and eyes, and then bathing. It was very comfortable for me at this height. No pain or awkward positions and I didn’t get soaked. I was able to use our shower sprayer with ease and just sat it in the soap holder that comes with the tub. The water drained perfectly though the hose with no issues. I sprayed it down with a bit of cleaner after use. This was so easy to put together and is simple to take apart. The legs and hose store perfectly in the tub. Cons: I regret screwing the mat to the plastic. I now have no way to clean the water under it which I know I’m going to have to do to prevent mold. My large mini poodle has skin issues and needs a bath at least once a week. My lower back has been aching for awhile and hasn't been able to improve because of these frequent baths. He needs to be lathered up for 10 minutes so the time for his baths are longer then typical. I was getting desperate and searching for something online when I found this awesome tub. I expected it to be too low but it's fine. After only a couple of weeks my back has healed and I feel great. I wish I would have found this tub sooner. We have a standard size tub and it fits into the tub lengthwise as you can see in the picture. In this position I can spray my dog freely with the water falling into our tub. After looking at this tub and another pet tub by another company, I finally decided to purchase this one. Honestly, what pushed me over the edge is the fact it's open in the back and when I saw the opportunity to get it in red that was the deal breaker for me. Although I was not afforded ANY instructions whatsoever, assembling the tub was rather easy. The true red is beautiful!!!!!! Unlike others have indicated, I did not have one problem whatsoever with the drain hose. I merely aligned it with the hole underneath, pushed it in hard and went on with the process of bathing my Cocker Spaniel. For the first time I felt like my fur baby was really squeaky clean. More importantly, I felt he was thoroughly and properly rinsed. Bathing him in a tub of water, like I used to do, left soap in his fur that I just could not rinse out completely. That issue has been alleviated with this awesome tub! I only wish the very sturdy legs on the tub weren't so bowed out. My bathtub is a standard size but the Booster Bath certainly has to have two legs in the tub and two out of the tub. It's not a huge deal though I'd like to leave the Booster Bath inside the tub without having to break it down. I don't have that option. Still, if I had it to do again I'd buy the Booster Tub! Bathing my doggy was so effortless! And because our guest bathroom is so tight, I can put a towel over the closed toilet seat and bathe some portions of Max while sitting down! This is a welcomed change from bathing him on my knees atop a floor pillow! If anyone has any doubts about this product, don't worry about it. It will serve you well. Your back will thank you and your doggy will be clean and soap free! Lastly, I may need to get a board for the legs that are out of the tub as that portion of the tub needs to be a little higher in order to align the portion of the Booster Bath that's inside the tub. That's not a big deal. I'm looking forward to bathing Max again! *Included is a pic of Max just sitting in the Bosster Bath right after I assembled it! :D ... show more
