I want to write a better review but cannot. First our dog is less than the weight range for this tub. The tub is unstable. When our dog is in the tub and sits down the middle starts to deflect pushing the angled legs outward. It gets worse as the dog moves around. At present we use a medical shower chair to support the middle. If we do not our dog will not stay in the tub because it moves so much. The first time we used it our dog jumped out before the legs pushed out of the slots for the tongue part of the leg that fits into it.(The last two photos demonstrate a gap as pressure is applied to the legs.) All the legs do this when a dog is in the tub. Yes, it was put together correctly. The design combined with the awkward shaped legs and soft plastic makes the legs push outward without something holding up the middle of the tub. The legs are designed for more stability but it doesn't work like that, it seems to make the tub more shaky. The floor mat is screwed in making clean up a little difficult. If not rinsed well that wet dog odor will stay with the tub. We really like the idea of this tub it's very handy. After adding the shower chair for stability our dog will stay in. If it wasn't for the lack of stability the tub would be perfect. It needs something from the factory to help support the middle. This item received a one star rating since we had to address the stability issue. That should have been addressed before selling them to the public.     • This thing could have killed my dog!

I should have listened to the unfavorable reviews but there weren't that many of them. I figured, so many people were happy with this, the few that didn't like it may have used it improperly right? WELL NOPE. First let's get feature reviews of what actually worked. 1. Assembly, fairly easy... not great instructions but good enough that I was able to do it myself but I can be pretty handy when I want to. 2. Drainage - not great but not horrible, I used it on my porch and placed the hose to drain in the front yard so the porch didn't get soaked. A bit of water does pool in the front of the bath but it's not that big a deal. I pushed it out by hand. The hose is definitely a good feature for directing the drain water where you want. 3. Height - I am 5'3", she's 27" tall, washing her head, back and tail was easy. I only had to bend a little for the underbelly, legs and paws. Much better than having to sit on a hard little bench on the floor. 4. The tether worked for her size, I had to adjust until I got it just right but it fit her well enough to sit without choking and tight enough not to move around too much if she were that kind of dog (which she's not, she stays put for baths). I noticed while I was washing her that the legs to this thing were spreading outwardly.Several of the reviews mentioned that and it worried me a little but I thought it was sturdy enough, my dog was 60lbs under the weight limit, it will be fine, I THOUGHT WRONG. Things went from uh oh to OMG HELP in seconds. Shaya stands pretty still when being washed. Big gentle dog who thinks a bath is special attention so she's easy to bathe, she didn't even require the collar and tether but I used it for safety. I bought the large basin that is supposed to support up to 150lbs. My Rottweiler/Weimaraner mix is a lean 90.5 lbs. As I finished rinsing her, I took the collar off (THANK HEAVENS FOR THAT!!!) so that I could walk her to the steps (I bought those extra) and get her dried off. Before I could turn her around, I heard a crack and the whole thing came crashing on one side, my 90-lb dog flying off it and tumbling down the porch steps. Luckily the collar was off otherwise she might have choked or gotten seriously injured as the bath would have followed her down the steps and crashed with her. I watch in horror as she fell down and tried to catch herself mid-air. I was fortunate, the steps were clear of garden tools, she fell on her side and got up. There doesn't seem to be any injury as of today 24 hours later, she seems OK so far but this could have turned out quite differently. This is not a case of me assembling the bath incorrectly, the darn thing BROKE!!! As the legs were spreading out, the bottom snap that is supposed to hold the front leg broke off and the leg went flying one way as the rest of the bath collapsed sideways. My suggestion is, if your dog weighs more than 40 lbs, DO NOT USE this product. I thought of buying the XL since 3 of my dogs are over 65 lbs but now, I will not buy this product again PERIOD. It's dangerous and I don't even trust that the XL is well-made enough to support 90lbs. There is a design flaw in this and it's a recurrent theme in many reviews. ... show more

This is the most impressive product that I have purchased from Amazon in 10 years. For the price, I wasn't expecting much. However, everything snapped together easily and the material was clearly very high quality. This is a durable unit. I have three dogs (Australian Shepard, Border Collie, and Portuguese Water Dog) and it will handle any of them. What I found most impressive is the attention to detail that this company has. They overlooked nothing! They even have little plastic plates at each corner of the mat that are screwed down to hold the mat in place. It comes with a great drain hose that attaches to the underside drain. It has really high-quality placeholders for the securing your dog during his wash! Seriously, there is NOTHING I would change about this product. I would recommend this booster bath anytime! I've attached a picture of mine just minutes after putting it together - which buy the way - only took about 15 minutes! Totally easy. ... show more

The bathtub is perfect for my 100+ dog. It makes bathing my dogs so much easier. Order the steps for the tub separately however, they don't come with the tub. Unless of course you can lift your dogs up which I can't. This is our second tub, the first one lasted 6 years but with wear and tear and a very large dog it became a little brittle since it is plastic and split at the seam at the bottom. Not complaining, just mentioning that. I highly recommend purchasing this tub to make bathing your dogs much easier and our dogs love it, too. ... show more
