This was a fun build. It's not super easy but if you follow the instructions and use care, it looks really nice. My only complaint is that the power switch for the lights is in the back under a flap. It would be nice if they could redesign so the switch is somewhere at the front.

This is still a work in progress so I’ll update with pics when I’m finished. I just wanted to pop on and say how much I’m enjoying this build so far. I’ve made several miniature builds in the past but this is my first book nook. After tidying up my bookshelves recently, I decided to finally get this book nook as a treat. I’ve been looking at this kit since before Christmas and glad I finally got it. I was afraid it would be tedious, based other sets I’ve built, but it isn’t. Other sets had me veneering every single item with paper, which gets tedious and can be difficult for large pieces. This set has a small amount of that, but the big pieces like flooring and walls are already done. That greatly simplifies the building and the finished pieces look much more professional. I think it will take me a little longer to build than estimated, but I don’t mind because it’s relaxing to work on. I’ve been spending about an hour on it here and there in the evening. It is a lot of fun to watch come together. My favorite part so far is wiring up those tiny lamps. They make the whole scene look so much more realistic. It is amazing what can be made from the simple craft items included. I think it is really fun and satisfying, even for someone with no experience doing it. If you haven’t built one of these sets before, I think this is a good one to get. There are enough steps to enjoy the act of creating but not so much that I’m overcome with tiny details.

The lighting did not work. Bought fairy lights and was happy. Directions show a music box assembly...no music box included. I had trouble with a couple pieces but was able to improvise. Takes a long time to complete...many hours...but directions are clear and turns out nice. Definitely challenging.

I enjoyed building this nook a lot. The details are beautiful and creative . This was the first nook I had to bend metal to make a hangar, a faucet and other misc items. It’s challenging. I learn something new on each nook and this was no exception. The sturdiness and adhesion is solid

My girlfriend and I assembled this together over the weekend. It was a lot of fun to work together and we were kind of proud to see it through completion. It fits nicely on the bookshelf with its exquisite details. Note that it does take a bit of time and you'll need to prepare AAA batteries by yourself.

This kit was as involved as some of the miniature houses I have assembled and because such small interior most of the details are obscured. And book nooks should have touch switch in the front, not battery box hidden in compartment in the back. While the finished product is nice, the time spent building could have produced something much more awe inspiring. Also, some of the pieces were rather flimsy and broke while inserting tabs into slots and the lights were mediocre the way they are done. I recommend only for very patient and experienced crafters.
