I had a good experience building this kit. Pictorial instructions were very good except they could have put more detail concerning the electrical routing. The pieces all fit well, but a moderate amount of gluing is necessary. Exquisite detail and exact pieces are the hallmark of this kit. It took me four days to assemble this, taking my time. The box says 10-12 hours. It took me longer because I take me time and read ahead. So, I will recommend this kit to anyone that has a spare few days or would want to build a kit like this. But be careful! These are habit forming!

Item shown up with broken electrical connection. I had a friend sauder the wires straight to the electrical panel. Some directions seem to be missing. Overall the product is strong and really a nice book book. Can be viewed from both ends!

One of the main reasons I got this booknook kit was that it was double sided, so you could see the room from multiple angles. Which also means it's a bit more difficult since there is a back side that you can see. All the important pieces that you see both sides of are printed with the images on both sides which was perfect- a few things I did color with wood markers to make them blend in more (like the underside of chairs and tables etc.) Some of the pictures in the directions weren't the best- not quite close enough to see where the holes were supposed to be positioned- but mostly they were fine. My only complaint with the directions is step #107 when putting in the R1 window- directions should have specified that you need to leave a gap at the bottom of the window not covered by the clear plastic (plastic is too small to cover the entire window so I tried to split the difference to leave only a tiny gap on both the top and bottom). Step #109 has you inserting piece L29 unto the gap below the window plastic and into the floor system of the second floor. I missed this when completing step #107 and had to pry off the window to move it in order to have the floor fit through the gap- turned out okay but still annoying. Otherwise the kit was great- pieces are easy to remove and sturdy and they do give you a few extra pieces for the ones that are very tiny/easily breakable. The detail on a lot of the pieces was really great- the downstairs tables have rifles built into the design, the card table has little slots with chips printed at the bottom etc. Overall really happy with the way everything turned out for this one!

Awesome, this book nook is one of my all time favorite, so far easy to follow instructions and putting it together has been easy. Well it took me over a week to do because I was not in any hurry and was just enjoying do this one it is amazing and the finish product is unbeliavable I just love it and it was well worth the time and money.

I have completed 4 DIY nooks and this one was the worst for the parts not fitting in the pre made holes. I had to do alot of filing down to get the parts to fit. It has alot of pieces and when completed it looks great. Just takes a little more work..
