This was delivered in an undamaged box that unfortunately sat for a few weeks before I got around to opening. Upon opening it I found it to be extremely dented and beat up (which due to the undamaged box had to be done prior to shipping). If you even look at it hard a dent suddenly appears because its metal is as thin as an aluminum can. I spent over an hour using a rubber mallet trying to straighten the parts enough to assemble. Directions are generic at best and leave you guessing as to how to assemble the walls. I guessed wrong and when I got to the final step found I’d installed a panel wrong causing me to have to disassemble and start again…..which was a disaster because the screws are so cheap they want to strip easily which makes assembly and disassembly very challenging. I typically never leave reviews but this gun box is soooo bad I felt the need to help others avoid buying it as I did. It’s so flimsy and cheap made that in my opinion nothing of importance or value should ever be stored in it…..I would NEVER consider putting a firearm in it and believing it to be secured!

Thanks so much for checking out this review - i'll try to be brief, clear, helpful, but I can't guarantee it. First of all, it comes in a nice package - maybe 6ft tall, 10 inches deep, and 2.5 feet wide. Its cumbersome for one person, but you can bear hug it and move it, or ask a friend to help you. The quality of the steel seems decent enough, and the door is very robust/heavy. Putting it together wasn't HORRIBLE - there are some angles in which you're to put a screw that are nearly impossible for someone who isn't 5'1 and 120 lbs...that is, larger hands/forearms, but I managed to get them all with some sweat and cursing. Additionally, the door is heavy while other metal is thin/bendable, so be careful when putting it together so 1) you dont bend the other metal and 2) it remains square so you can put screws in! Aside from that, the steps of the instructions themselves aren't super difficult. However, the Instructions....are pretty bad. Pictures are lacking, sometimes unclear, and the english isn't always very robust. I don't know why they didn't spend a BIT more on the instructions to make pieces, orientations, and steps more specifically laid out. I did some "guess" work at some steps that resulted in losing time and patience, and this was because after looking at the directions, it just wasn't evident to me at first, and i'm a 5/10 mechanical guy. Moving on, when you finally get the safe together, you get to deal with the locking mechanism. I found the instructions for this part pretty bad...maybe 5/10. The dial is a light up touch pad with numbers, and I believe 2-3 symbols. There was NO legend, NO picture, and very little help with even the basics of the mechanism. It gives you rough directions for setting up the finger print, but it took me 3x, and doing steps in an order not provided on the instructions, that eventually allowed me to program the finger. Then, I somehow set off the alarm, and had to do it again. It was pretty frustrating, and i'm still not 100% i've figured it out. Also, it seems that the lock doesn't always lock on its own - its been a few different times that it wouldn't lock - it left the wheel/handle loose, so I was able to open/close it repeatedly, and it never locked. Maybe user error, but if there was a remedy in the instructions I would have read it! The key works great, and the overall shape/look of the completed safe is really good. I also have some concerns about the electrical lock, but will assume its MY fault - but again the instructions would certainly be better with more clear instructions/steps, and perhaps a legend/picture of the dial to familiarize ourselves with first. I'm giving it a 5 for the safe, and 3 for the issues with the instructions = a rating of 4. Good luck!

This is a great starter “safe” it is more like a gun cabinet but it does what is needed. It locks up well. It holds a good amount of long rifles and hand guns. It has good shelves to store ammunition, or anything else you may want stored. The key pad was easy to set up, and it comes with backup keys just incase your battery dies after time. For the price it is a very decent weapon hold. It is front heavy until you load a couple rifles inside but it’s not problematic after it’s built and complete. Don’t think it’s fire proof which is the only downside. Overall great product at an affordable price!

I needed a better place to store my weapons instead of 3 different gun bags or cases. Not a difficult cabinet to put together, the bolts on the inside were a little challenge because it is dark inside so grab a flashlight. Metal sheeting material, so don't expect it to be fire proof. Be sure to pay attention to the instruction installing the base as it is a bit tricky. Nice space inside the cabinet and coded lock for easy of access, also comes with a key incase you forget the code or battery dies on the keycode mechanism. Happy with my purchase
