We bought a 21' tandem kayak last summer so we definitely needed a dolly to move it around to where we need to use it. The wheels work fine in sand and the construction is sturdy. I hate to say this'll but the straps may be a bit of an overkill when it comes to the buckles. But better too good than not good enough. I like that it folds up when not in use! ... show more

I bought this cart a few months after acquiring my first kayak in order to help transport it to certain water access sites that were far from parking areas. It's been a back saver! It's easy to work with, rolls very smoothly and folds to a compact size for easy transport. I've found that the ratchet clips on the tie straps are somewhat bulky, which I supposed you would need for a larger, heavier boat, but for a small kayak I only needed cinch straps or a slip knot. So I opted to change out the tie down straps. I still give it 5 stars for being a great product. ... show more

I had their other model with the straps. I liked it better. But after one season, the strapping hole/release mechanism became rusty (salt water) even though I washed it down after each use. This one has been a little more awkward to attach, but it does the trick well.
