I have the set of 18v Dewalt tools and the batteries I had finally gave up. I choose these expecting they would be ni-cad or alkaline. I'm happy to report they are lithium ion or lithium polymer. I was pleased with the lighter weight and am looking forward to a long service life.

This is a hard one to review. The battery seems to have as much power with a longer run time than the stock 18v Ni–Cd batteries. The button that shows the battery life is a nice touch. These fit all my tools, but not quite as snug as the original (I don't think that will be an issue). The issue I did have is one of the batteries were defective and would not take a charge. The charger tried to charge, but about 10 seconds later it switches to a fast blink. When I pressed the battery life button the green light flashes on the 1st light. I would have given this 5 stars if that hadn't happened.

Great product, great price!! They actually work great!! Loads of power and seam to last a good amount of time haven't gotten to fully use them all day long so I can't say how long they last under a normal work load for daily use. I have only done a couple short jobs, so I can't speak to their longevity but so far I am extremely happy with my purchase!!

These batteries seem to be spot on for replacement of the 18v nicad batteries no issues as of yet, I really like the battery level indicator on the back of the battery. Would recommend…

Should have returned when I first got them. They are ridiculously light weight which should have been the first clue. Both batteries have died and won’t work. But I am past the return window so just out of luck.
