Had this now for two separate hunts with my boys. I have two young men 7 y/o and also 12 y/o. I bought this to help them be more accurate. No more “left dad...no, I mean right, up, down, there! Don’t move it “ aww dang it it moved...we’ve all been there as dads trying to steady our children’s rifles to make a clean kill. I used the word clean for two meanings w this review. Initially, when I started hunting w my boys, I found I would sacrifice knockdown power for less recoil- in a lightweight platform (ie 223 or 220 swift) this honestly created a two edged sword. One side-shot placement is extremely important and then the other distance is important because I’m technically holding the weight of the gun. I’ll be honest, you can’t do both. My oldest boy shot a doe w 223 closer to the shoulder than I’d have liked at about 90 yards and we couldn’t find her. Not even after two days. That’s when I purchased this little gem! Solved all my problems with rifle stability and also knockdown power. I purchased a 6.5 creedmoor and put a muzzle break on it and combined w this they can shoot sub MOA groups at 200 yards- Better than their old man, this pod is steady, user friendly and helps the shooter make a cleaner kill. This helps w shot placement as well as allowing kids-and some adults- shoot a bigger caliber that allows for better/stronger ballistic data. Sorry long review-and I never review anything! Buy it. You won’t regret it.

I bought this for my husband who’s handicapped. He lost use of his left arm about six months ago and he was an avid hunter. He got real down and depressed because he couldn’t hold up his rifle anymore . so I bought him this for Christmas and I gave it to him early. He still gets upset because he can’t hold his rifle because he has a right hand shooter, but this did help him a lot. I’m still trying to find a good hunting blind to accommodate his needs as well. He will soon be 65 and he’s a veteran, losing one of his arms was devastating for him. But I’m glad that this comes in multiple heights and it swivels and goes up and down, which does make this quite easier for him.

I was hunting out of a flimsy blind and the shooting sticks we had were too short. We ordered this and it is 10/10! Super stable and good ranges with height as we were able to move it up or down to what we needed. Turns side to side and you’re also able to tilt the gun up and down, but holds the gun still and sits very stable on the ground. We did go early to set it up and I’m glad we did because it took us several minutes since we had never used it before and weren’t really familiar with how it worked yet. It’s really sturdy and has great features. Would be great for any and all hunters to help stabilize while shooting. A down side is that it does take up a lot of space in a shooting house or blind but it worked with what we had so we were pleased.

Although they sent me the wrong size I managed to make it work with my crossbow. I left it in my ground blind all year from last hunting season to this one and the thing still works like a champ. Great product but I would still like the size I ordered which is the taller one.

Exceeded my expectations. I was able to intuitively mount my crossbow, make adjustments and be ready to shoot in minutes. It comes fully assembled, so that's great, is light weight and feels super sturdy when you are shooting. You can tighten the knobs to make it easier or harder to rotate. I will use this for sighting in my rifles from now on! If you are teaching shooting to your children, this is great too. I started my son shooting a crossbow allowing him to develop good shooting form with out developing the wince from a loud bang/hard kick. I bought this for my son (9yo) to hunt with out of the blind since the cross bow is so front heavy. He can shoot about a 3" spread at 50 yards. It also helps develop and focus on good trigger form and build confidence in his ability. I so pumped to see him getting after it this fall!!!...hope this helps
