This is my Folliculitis Journey and i include ALL THE PRODUCTS I USED to get rid of it. I got Folliculitis on my groin area, i had no idea what it was since i have never had it but it started spreading down my legs and leaving these dark marks/scars. The lesions started multiplying, i went to the doctors who gave me an ointment gel, which did absolutely nothing for me, it was an acne treatment. Since it started getting hotter and summer was near i knew i had to act fast or else i would have to wear pants all summer. First things first, from my research it states not to shave to prevent he spread of Folliculitis, so yes i did just that. I didn't shave for over a month...i know gross but it had to be done. *If you do decide to shave, use a new fresh blade every time you shave in order to prevent spread. Also if you have folliculitis on your legs don't use the same blade on your armpits etc. I looked up items on amazon and read reviews for "Almond Clear: Body Clearing Serum" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0866B6CV1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 I decided to give it a try, i started with Level 1 and used it with the Hibliclens antibacterial soap as everyone in the reviews did. I already had the soap since its so amazing and i recommend everyone have this soap in their home it works miracles. I was already using this soap by itself for about 2 weeks prior to buying the Almond Clear bottle and i noticed no difference. When i read that buyers were combining both Almond Clear Serum and the soap i decided to do the same, but still i felt that Hibliclens did not do much for me. Also level 1 is more for someone who might have like 1-4 lesions..or for sensitive areas like the face. I felt like it made a difference but i definitely needed something stronger to completely get rid of them, i should've skipped to level2 like everyone else did in the reviews. I bought level 2 when i ran out of level 1 and i definitely noticed a huge difference! Listen to me right now, if you suffer from severe Folliculitis YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS! This did not work for me, my skin is very sensitive so i would only use 1x a day, every night after i showered i would apply and leave overnight. I do have to say that this product makes your skin peel and drys your skin out. For me, it made my skin excessively dry and i would shed skin almost everyday. Because my skin was getting beyond dry i decided to moisturize. I replaced the Hibliclens soap with this product, i leave it on the area for about 5 mins then rinse in the shower. It does dry your skin so you don't have to use everyday, but if you do i would definitely recommend to moisturize with the CeraVe lotion or just any lotion in general. It is pricey to buy all these items, but honestly i was willing to pay $100+ in order to get rid of this and it was worth it!I guess it depends how bad do you want to get rid of this? I absolutely love this product and I’ll tell you a little bit about why. As a teen I suffered from some bad back and chest acne as well as more mild facial acne. I tried all the stuff and used proactiv for a long time. As an adult, I would get the occasional cystic zit around my chin and occasional chest or back breakout but I seemed to hit a sweet spot for a few years when it really wasn’t so bad. Then I had my daughter and after she was born it was as bad as ever. I used the acne.org system and while it worked ok there are things I just don’t like about it and about benzoyl peroxide treatments in general. It burns sometimes, it bleaches your sheets and clothing, and feels greasy again and burns if you get at all sweaty. I found this product when I was looking for something for a bad case of folliculitis (my skin just decided to betray me all at once). I figured it was worth the price if I could use it to kill two birds with one stone. I also skipped the level 1 product because at this point I feel like my skin can pretty much handle anything. In just about a week, it has gotten rid of all the chest and back acne that was there and has stopped any new from forming. It also has almost completely gotten rid of the folliculitis. I like how it feels. It never burns, it doesn’t bleach any of my clothing and it isn’t greasy at all. It definitely dries out your skin but not in the same way that other products have. It will make the skin on your palms flaky so to minimize that make sure you wash it off of your hands and put some moisturizer on. I use a thin layer on my face as well and just put some moisturizer on right over top and it’s been great. All in all I absolutely love this product and I wish I had found it sooner. It’s really been an absolute game changer.

Works wonderfully! It’s just too bad I think the smell is a little strong and unpleasant, but it does the job. I went straight to level two. I had no drying out on the skin either, but I used once a day after the shower.

I started with Level 1 back in early summer and it worked well. It took some really dark almost black spots to a dark brown and medium brown level. Now I’ve moved in to level 2 using it in the same thicker skin areas. I’ve used this 3x now. 1st time was at night only. Then followed it up the next morning and night 2x in a row. I then stopped just to be safe and give my skin a rest. When I took a close look at the areas a few days later I could see the dark brown spots are now medium and the medium are getting to be light. Some of the light spots have almost faded completely. These are all from hair bumps which are annoying and up and down various parts of my leg and thigh. I never thought I’d show my legs again but now I see there’s a chance. It’s worth it as it’s much cheaper than the dermatologist and for me it seems to work as fast. I’ll update again after some more time and share how the dark and medium spots continue to advance /fade. Update: 4/3/19. This product is still working. My skin still is improving. It’s not the fastest but is faster than others IMO, but consistency does pay off. There are no more super dark almost black spots anywhere now. Some lighter spots are completely faded in one leg and the other leg is super light brown spots. These are fading really well too as they were really dark. I’m thankful to have found this and think I’ll get one more bottle and the body wash for next time. I think after that combo my skin will be summer /bare all ready once again.

I’ve been using this for a month, just ordered my second bottle and my KP is significantly better but still healing. I use it with CeraVe rough and bumpy skin cream and my skin hasn’t been this smooth in a long time. The dark spots from KP will take more time to fade but it IS working to fade them. I no longer have new annoying, red bumps popping up. I think many of the negative reviews didn’t give the product enough time to work and were expecting immediate results.
