I am a retired Wholistic Health Practitioner. I no longer treat patients but continue to work on myself. I am trained in Shiatsu, Acupressure, Trigger Point and Reflexology. I have owned a couple of "theracanes" before and given them away as gifts. This particular "cane" has more massage points than any other I have seen. People with weak hands or who are not trained in bodywork may find good use from all the extra points. I still use my hands and other devises (especially balls on back points), so the cane is used mainly for shoulder points. Some reviewers mentioned rough edges on the plastic due to the manufacturing process but on my cane they were barely noticeable and no bother at all. The cane is all in one piece and very sturdy. I doubt it will ever break.

This thing is big! Takes a bit of getting used to, needs it's own hook, but it hits the spots; I can't reach under and around the shoulder blade, and the applied pressure areas on either side of the neck. Now, it doesn't do what pressure point human professionals can do, but it works really well and fast in a pinch. I wish it was smaller, a bit easier to handle, but it works, and that's what matters most. It's thick heavy solid plastic, and I don't see it breaking. Honestly, this thing could be used as a weapon. The booklet was meh, promo pictures basically. Didn't have any interaction with the company online, so I can't speak to that. Shipping box was narrow and big, no bubble wrap, just item in plastic bag. Box was a bit damaged, but the Buddy survived, not a scratch. This is much much better than using a tennis ball and a wall for those bottled-up strained muscles. I looked and tried several models and designs, and for the price [$30] this was the best product. Good tool to have around.

This massage cane is really helpful for my upper back and shoulders that frequently are sore due to my demanding exercise routine. I love all the notches that can get into every place you could be sore. Great compliment to a foam roller. Extremely sturdy.

There's so much good to say about this, it's going to be hard to keep this review short. Like a substantial percentage of the population, I get what most of us refer to as “knots” in my shoulders and traps. I’m active in the gym, and we all know that sharp painful spot, the one that you ask your spouse to press on or massage. They do it for about 30 seconds then complain of hand hurts… I mentioned this to one of the trainers at my gym, and they suggested this item by name. You must understand that the Chinese have knocked these off for a long time. They are not the same. It is not the same as the one sold here when you buy at the big-box sporting-goods store. This is made in the USA. It is such a problem that the company goes to the trouble of showing in their literature why their product is superior, and it is. I had every intention of buying the one recommended to me, but my daughter needed something for soccer, and we were at Dick’s Sporting Goods. I saw this trigger point massager and figured what the heck how much different could it be. Three weeks later, it snapped, hitting me in the head. Actual junk. Five minutes later, I ordered this from my saved folder in Amazon. It showed up a couple of days later, and it was a game-changer. Whether you get tight spots in your legs, lower back, upper back, and shoulders… This helps relax those muscles and eliminates the trigger points. Here’s a trick, most people massage the back after there in pain. My trainer suggested using it before I went to the gym to do shoulders or back. If you think about it, what your doing is stretching or massaging the muscles you’re about to work out. She was right, I only have about 1/3 of the spots that were troubling me, and I use this device on the couch, and it feels like a million bucks. Don’t waste your money on those electric impact massagers; they do work, but this is cheap and works better.

I get a lot of knots and tension in my neck, traps, and mid-back. I am still learning all of the ways to use this tool (it comes with a handy guide with pictures) but so far I am blown away. I use it way more than i thought I would. It’s big but the size is necessary in my opinion. It is so sturdy compared to some other similar devices. And has different options for different areas. I’m a fan.

This thing is amazing! It lets you massage your own back. My husband always tries to massage my back for me, but he can never find the exact right spot. With this, I can do it by myself. I can hit the exact spot with the exact exact pressure I want and hold it for the exact amount of time I want. We may have to buy another one, because he always wants to use it too.

It wasn't obvious from the review that this comes in two separate pieces and wiggles a bit when put together. Definitely NOT worth a premium which is what they are charing for this. Disappointing really.
