The intended use is to support and brace the outboard motor when trailering to prevent any unwanted motor travel up and down when trailering, This unwanted movement can put damaging pressure to the tilt and trim unit's hydraulic system and boat transom without using wedge/block support.
  • EASY TO USE: No drilling or special installation required, no need to bend over or get on your knees. Eliminate metal to skeg scrapping compared to metal transom savers. Simply tilt engine up, insert high pressure wedge into Tilt Ram piston, then tilt down and you are on your way. No metal, no worries of rust or corrosion and is safe to use in both salt and freshwater applications. No need for straps, rope, bungies, skeg support, or brackets. All you need is the high pressure wedge.
  • UPGRADED DESIGN/HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM: High Density EPDM rubber formula. Trial tested and constructed better by Mangrove Products. Compression testing over 2000 lbs of pressure (Updated), extended wedge length to aid in higher skeg ride height, withstand extreme hot/cold temps under compression, 10 inner notches for secure connection to tilt shaft, colored visual surface, and ergonomic design for storage in dry box. Pressure between the wedge and tilt/trim unit will not damage the wedge unit.

I’m having a great time using this new transom saver!! It’s so simple and easy to use. Just lift the trim, place the block, and compress it on the piston. It’s that simple. As I travel down the road, the motor is not jumping around when hitting bumps in the road. Much easier process to use vs traditional metal version which ended up cutting into the metal on my lower unit. Not to mention this is a local FL company. I have had wonderful results with this transom saver. This new rubber mixture is very hard but provides flex with compression and does the job right. I trailer my Mercury outboard about 10-30 miles to and from the boat ramp here in FL. The product is holding the motor well especially on this one bumpy backroad. I love this product from the compact design, extra inner notches and higher Skeg clearance it’s a must have for your outboard. It’s very useful for my bass boat trailer which is low to the ground, so the extra skeg clearance makes a huge difference mainly for this one gas station entrance we go to. Many boat owners use a stablizing bar that fits the underside of any outboard motor to the trailer frame. These stablizing units cost as much and more and requires drilling and adjusting to fit. The stop block slides onto the piston arm holding the motor and you just let the motor down on it until its tight. Purchased this for my outboard. Received it in a timely manner. The rubber it is made of was soft and it deformed when putting pressure on it. I was afraid it would come loose when traveling. I returned it because of this. Got a text from Ross ( company representative). He had stated that they were working on a new revision and that it was much more firm. Great results with this transom saver. You literally just trim up, place the block, trim down and go. I love the easy function. The rubber does indent after coming off the hydraulic trim but no deformity to the unit and still fully functional. This thing seems like it can take the abuse. It also shortens the breakdown time at the ramp which was always an issue. I highly recommend this transom saver and is a must have boat accessory. ... show more
