Adhesive holding lag screw inside insulator not strong enough so lag screw spins in insulator during installation on wooden post. Must pre-drill hole for lag screw always. Better strength adhesive would eliminate spinning issue.

Blulu Electric Fence Insulator Heavy Duty Ceramic Lag Screw Insulator Porcelain. First, we got a bit of a laugh from the bottom of the cardboard box that these arrived in, because all of the lag screws poked through, and were sticking out (see photo). The insulators all arrived intact and undamaged though. These are really nice heavy duty porcelain insulators. We literally have miles of electric fence on our ranch, and these very high quality insulators are as good, or better than any we have used. These can be screwed into wood posts for corners or straight runs. Unlike the plastic versions of these, the lags wont separate, so they remain in the wood for a long time. The price is just about right on these as well. I’m very happy with these.

the studs break loose easly, you have have to pre drill an oversized hole and gently tighen them one way, dont try and take them out of the post will snap off when remove it. Also the hole in the cermaic is smaller than just about all the ones I've gotten from the hw store, so there isn't as much room to read your wire. Wood not purchase them again.
