Fancy. I use a large silicone oven mit hold the seal on the bottle and dip into almost boiling water. Shrinks right up.

I must admit this is my first time using any type of shrink wrap. When I bottle wine, I have a bottling truck that comes and the capsules are applied when the bottles are filled, and labeled. These are hand application obviously and also different material. We’ve had bottling truck issues so I decided I would try something like this to see how much work involves and the result. Here are my thoughts I believe the best way to apply them is a heat gun. I tried different methods and I wouldn’t advise the hot water method. I don’t like getting my wine near any boiling water as it could crack the bottles and it could damage the wine especially if there’s chlorine in your water and it gets near the cork while applying the seal you could get cork taint. The key in applying them seems to be to start at the top and as it shrinks work your way to the bottom, carefully spinning the bottles taking care to only apply one capsule at a time. Look closely at the opening at the bottom as it’s hard to determine whether there’s one two or three capsules ! If that’s the case you’ll have bubbles , Wrinkles and wasted capsules. Also that little gold piece on the top, which is unnecessary, tends to want to pop off . It sits irregularly if you don’t apply them correctly it looks bad. It’s an individual preference to use these or not because they’re not necessary but do finish the bottles off nicely when applied properly. ... show more

Perfect for any cruise. This paired with a butlers help, will allow you to "transfer" your alcohol. We swapped out and resealed with a heat gun. Worked perfectly and you couldn't tell that anything was different.
