Bluetti Elite 300 power station

This is a great product for the size and watt hours though a bit on the heavier side at 50+lbs. Bluetti power stations have been reliable, easy to use, quiet operating & charge fast on turbo charge for my purposes. I'm still trying to work out how much power I actually need as I don't have solar panels & must charge by AC outlet. I'd like to be able to run my 12w mini fans, 12volt cooler/fridge, and use my 600w or 900w cook pots 2 times/day + charge 2 phones & 2 undercabinet lights to last 5-6 days without re-charging the power stations, but with an additional Bluetti AC180 + a Bluetti AC70 it's not enough. It's a lot of power in just the Elite 300, but even without using the fridge & only cooking 2-3 times I'm down to the AC70 by the 4th day using the 600w making eggs, boiling 4min pasta or reheating twice, running the fans & charging a phone & lights. Misjudged just how much power I use apparently so I'll be saving up to purchace another Bluetti, which is the only brand I buy after trying others. I've only had 1 AC 180 go bad after 2 years of heavy use (I had 2 AC180's, & AC70, I spend most of my time in a van that has no place for a gas generator & I don't drive far.) Great value for the price (I wait for the big discounted sales because my budget is tight.) Definitely recommend these if you are away from home camping a lot & need power! Bluetti also offers models for backup power for power outages as well!

Powerful, Compact, and Well-Designed Power Station—Great Performance with Minor Limitations

Let me start by saying that in my 12 years of home ownership, I’ve never experienced a single power outage. Ironically, I even bought a generator five years ago that’s still sitting unused in its box. I’m not into camping or off-road adventures either, but given everything going on in the world, I wanted to be prepared with a reliable portable power station and solar setup. This unit caught my attention because of how competitive it is in terms of power, features, and portability. I also did quite a bit of research beforehand, and this brand consistently ranks among the top alongside EcoFlow and Anker, which gave me confidence in my purchase. The build quality is excellent, with high-quality materials and a solid feel. The display is clear and easy to read, and the companion app is impressive—it offers a lot of customization and control options. One feature I specifically tested was the UPS function by connecting my computer, and it performed flawlessly without any interruption during power transition. Performance-wise, I pushed it with a continuous 2400W load for about 30 minutes using multiple appliances, and it handled it without any issues. The fan noise is noticeable but not annoying—it has a low humming sound that’s easy to tolerate. It also offers a wide range of input options, including solar. I paired it with Zoupw 480w bifacial solar panel and was able to get around 520W input, which is quite impressive. Another great feature is the 140W USB-C output, which is perfect for charging laptops and other high-power devices quickly. On the downside, it doesn’t support battery expansion, so you’re limited to the built-in 3000Wh capacity. While there are workarounds using solar input where you connect an external 24V or 48V battery with an Anderson plug directly to the solar input, it will essentially increase the total capacity; however, the solar efficiency is around 80%, so there’s some energy loss in conversion. Also, the maximum solar input is capped at 1200W, and the solar input voltage is capped at 12V to 60V at 22A, which is quite a tight range. If you use portable solar panels on the market, you have many options, but if you use rigid solar panels, it is hard to find panels that have the proper amps and volts to reach the 1200W maximum charging speed. However, I think Bluetti made the right decision on the solar charger specifications as it is meant to be a portable setup rather than a permanent solar charger for whole-home backup. Overall, I’m very impressed with this unit. It’s compact, powerful, and thoughtfully designed. Even though I may not use it for a long time—just like my generator—it gives me peace of mind. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and portable power station with strong performance and great features.

Great portable 3KW power station
Set name: BLUETTI Elite 300+AC Cable
3 Kilowatt of capacity to replace a APC UPS of similar capacity. I do not power a server with this power station as it doesn't have the communication capability with a Windows server. It's easy to connect to wifi and allows remote monitoring using the Bluetti app. I wish there's a setting that puts the power station to sleep (so it can be waked up remotely) if the battery level drops below a certain threshold like 10% and then shutdown at for example 2% to prevent cell damages from deep discharging under heavy load. When charging the battery, charging will stop at 100% unlike some other brands like Pecron where charging keeps going even when the battery is fully charged resulting in waste of electricity. I like the two usb c ports that can provide 140w and 100w of power. I like the fact that it is compact and easy to carry around. Overall I like this power station, capacity in a small package.

Edited Review, Changed from Five Stars to Two Stars and back to Five Stars. Why? I was initially very disappointed, after ordering the Elite 300 as soon as it was available, based on the very limited pre-sale information I learned that It wouldn't work with the 600W of panels I had just installed on my van. Then I was told I would have to pay the expensive return shipping bill. Ouch! Why did I change it back to five stars, even though it didn't work out for me? Because for some RV applications, where size is a crucial factor and where it will be used with compatible portable panels, the Elite 300 is perfect! And, even though there was a time delay, Bluetti stepped up with excellent service and offered to help me figure out how to configure my solar panels or allow me to return it at no charge. My confidence in Bluetti has been restored. Original Review... Turns out that "1,200W of solar charging" is actually "Solar input limited to 60V and 20A." But that should be no problem for my three 200W panels that put out a maximum of 18.2 volts, with a maximum current of 10.9 amps. What is not obvious is that the maximum voltage is based on the Open Circuit Voltage (in my case 22.1 volts times three panels equals 66.3 volts) and exceeding it, even by just a few volts, will wreck the MPPT charger and void the warranty. Okay, no problem. I buy through Amazon because of easy returns. For this item "30-day full refund or replacement" but they don't tell you that you have to pay for return shipping! Not sure what to do - but I am definitely not a happy camper. Original Review... Ordered this as soon as I could and will receive it in three days. Based on the previous four Bluetti power banks I've used, this looks like an absolute winner. Compact, powerful, great battery capacity, and at the introductory price, a very good value. (I figure that 3014W is about 250Ah, but Bluetti says the capacity is "3,014.4Wh (314Ah)" I wish it was 300Ah!) But, am I missing something or is this the first large Bluetti power bank that doesn't offer expandability? 250Ah should be enough for many applications, but it would be nice to have some way to expand it so that I could use the RV air conditioner for more than a couple of hours. I currently have an older Bluetti in my van, which this one will replace. I also currently have the AC200PL, which I use for solar-powering our hot tub. But my primary interest is how these power banks can be used with motorhomes. Our motorhome has been upgraded extensively, with Victron components and 824Ah of lithium batteries. But Bluetti power banks offer the possibility of much easier and inexpensive upgrading, by simply plugging the motorhome's shore power cord into the Bluetti. For other motorhome owners who want to upgrade from the standard factory setup (usually two lead-acid batteries) this Bluetti's compact size makes it a great solution. But if it can't be expanded, it will be necessary to come up with a work-around that might involve upgrading the coach batteries. I'll try to remember to come back to this review and update it as I learn more. In the meantime, I'm very excited about the capability of this compact power bank!

Bluetti Elite 300...Some opinion...some hard data

Firstly some of my opinions. Overall I think the Bluetti Elite 300 is a great feat of engineering. Putting a 3 Kilowatt power station into such a small and portable size is a great product. It is a fair amount smaller than my other 2 kilowatt power station I have used for about a year. The Elite 300 is slightly heavier than my older unit, however the narrower width makes it much easier to move through doorways without knuckle scrapes. The integral handles provide a good grip. I saw a older Bluetti model someone else had while I was out camping. The Elite 300 is a much more "finished" product with better quality buttons and a more accurate construction assembly. It has the true 20 amp right angle blade power outlet. My old unit supposedly had 20 amp outlet ports, however they would not accept a true 20 amp 110v plug. The display is much larger than my old unit and is multi colored for more performance info clarity at a distance. All of the power stations I see though are overrated for power output. That is they only state power available for resistance loads. Now days almost all electrical devices are inductive loads. Even fast phone chargers are inductive and power surge when first plugged in. For my hard data metrics I used a 500 watt floor dehumidifier as a test case. Even with the 2400 watt capacity the Bluetti could not start up my dehumidifier at first switch on. The fan would start and then about a minute later the compressor would start. On grid AC they both start at switch on. The Bluetti Elite 300 seems to have a soft startup voltage ramp defeating high current starting devices. I am not sure I would use the Bluetti Elite 300 on my home refrigerator unless it was a true emergency. What else I like................................... Small Size True 20 amp power sockets 30 Amp 12v DC output using what looks like a EC-3 high power connector. Solar panel input using XT60-F connector rather than those dangerous 8020 coaxial connectors. Display shows what looks like power withdrawn from the battery, not just the power being used by the connected device. Smooth packaging that makes storage and moving about go smoothly without snags or hangups. Flush mounted, rigid plugin outlets. What I don't like.......................... DC solar input voltage is too low. My old unit allows up to 150 volts. If expansion battery ports are to be sacrificed for unit size and watt capacity, then recharge port performance should be a higher priority. Not all features can be controlled without using a smart phone. Any product that is, in part, advertised as a disaster mitigation device needs to have sole innate control ability. Can you imagine a fire extinguisher who's features needed to be tuned by your phone? That may sound vicious however the first hand disasters I have experienced have made it clear that the greater the disaster, the greater the unpredictability of needs and consequences. Firmware can only be updated by wi-fi ...Ah What??? this device is declared to be FCC part 15 compliant. This FCC regulation in part states "This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation" Simple translation, interference that could brick it while updating firmware. No updates for me unless someone can prove this device has a wifi enabled bootstrap firmware in ROM. Now for hard data. As I stated previously, I did test the Bluetti Elite 300 by running a floor dehumidifier. I tested the power out, total power consumed powering the dehumidifier, and total power to recharge the Bluetti Elite 300 power station to 100% I programmed the recharge to turbo knowing that my lower level outlets are only 15 amps 1500 watts. That outlet is about as far from my grid connection as I can get and still be indoors. I ran the dehumidifier for exactly 2 hours. To test I used a P3 Kill A Watt EZ. I First compared the P3 to my Fluke Current probe. They match within two watts and the P3 was more contained and compact to image with the Elite 300 than was the Fluke. I attached images of the testing progress. Image 1.... Bluetti output watts at test start Bluetti 529 watts the P3 479 watts. Image 2....Bluetti output watts at test end Bluetti 589 watts the P3 545 watts Image 3.... Bluetti total kilowatt hours out at test end with the P3. 1.05 Kilowatts hours Image 4.... Bluetti input watts at recharge start 1368 watts Image 5 ....Bluetti Total Kilowatt hours input to recharge to 100% as measured by the P3. 1.36 Kilowatt hours So from this we can see total throughput efficiency. 1.05/1.36 or 77.2% of the power used to charge is available to power attached devices. Slower charging should lead to higher throughput efficiency. The energy lost is nearly all as radiated heat. Speaking of heat, I noticed that a fair amount of fan driven heated air exits out of the AC ports while charging. This can be seen in the thermal image attached as image 6.... Black to white = room temp(71F) to warm(105F). If charging in a warmer environment, it would be best practice to leave the AC ports unpopulated. Overall I am pleased with the Bluetti Elite 300. It is now certainly my preferred grab and go power station.

Quality product, great value, always handy

I have the Elite 100 v2 for my Bronco. Works awesome! I had a small issue with the 12v and they took great care of me and replaced it. Means a lot when a brand stands by their product! I bought the Elite 300 for the house. It powered my fridge, several fans, and kept my phone charge for an entire day. A little bigger than two medium ammo cans next to each other but the weight of a large truck battery. Lots of features and easy to use. My Elite 100 was perfect for camping and powering my Dometic 30 fridge, and 100w heater while sleeping, for a solid night and day before needing a little recharge time. This Elite 300 should be able to keep me going the whole weekend.

Small, Powerful, Heavy, and Versatile.

Excellent! Charged up to 100% in a flash. Ran great on my first week out with no issues. It is heavy but I knew that going in. Display is a little dull in bright light. controls work great. Simple to use. UPS function is great. Very versatile. Huge bang for the buck. It runs super quiet, and when turned off, loses virtually no power. When on and running DC mode with no AC on, this thing lasts forever. One of the best overloading decisions that I have made so far - And when home, it's a great power backup when power outages hot from high winds. I am very pleased.

Near perfect

This power station is amazing for the size and the price. Capacity is outstanding without needing to be wheeled around, but it definitely is heavy to pick up and move around. RV use is awesome with a good solar system to go with it of at least 400w or better. You aren’t going to run the AC long with this, so understand that going in. A few hours max before the capacity would be gone. One thing I wish it had was a higher voltage and amperage solar input for this size of a battery, but it’s not a major concern. Can still easily run 800w of solar at a reasonable input rate. For power outages and off grid RV in places not needing AC, I don’t think there’s a better unit option out there.
