With all the Zoom meetings we've been doing in homes and meeting rooms I needed a good conference-room-style speakerphone. I did a lot of research, and read a lot of reviews, and chose to try this one (the eMeet Luna). I have not been disappointed. It works very well, and voice in and out is very clear. Music is adequate for casual listening (remember that it's optimized as a voice device). I like that it can be connected via BlueTooth, or via a cable to the common 3.5mm audio jack on phones and computers. I've used it both ways. I like the well-label, clicky buttons.

Here's what I would like to know if I'm considering buying it. 1. This IS a Speakerphone, not just a Microphone. Therefore the buttons on it work well to increase and decrease volume the volume. 2. It is NOT zoom / ms teams / google meet certified, but does indeed work well with zoom and teams google meet (and likely the rest). The difference is the device mute button does not relay to the program that you've depressed mute. You can be muted in the conference program and also mute on the device. The device, though has red lights on it when muted, so you can tell by looking. 3. This device has a USB type A bluetooth dongle/adaptor. It's nice that when transporting the Luna, you can snap in the bluetooth adatapter in the bottom of the speakerphone. 4. You do NOT need the USB dongle to use the speakerphone. There is a USB cable that it comes with that connects the speakerphone to your computer. The USB cable is sufficient for charging the onboard battery and to enable the Luna to work with your computer as a speakerphone. Note: A word of caution if you decide this. If you only use the Luna with attached USB cable as a speakerphone solution, it is possible the device is also bluetooth roaming, meaning someone with their mobile phone can detect the Luna device over bluetooth. In my case bluetooth overrides native USB Connection. Bluetooth may be the preferable option if you're an apartment dweller. Update: The manufacture puts a card in your box notifying you if you write a review you’ll get a free webcam. Shady! Why? Because of that review isn’t 5 stars they email you from a do not respond address asking you to change it to 5 stars to complete The process, then to respond to the email to enroll again. Fail. And it’s not a 5 star device In my review (above).

I got this for two main reasons — to use with my laptop, for Zoom meetings, and as a speakerphone for regular phone calls. Overall I like the unit quite a bit. I'd say somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. Ease of use is definitely a 5. Value is a 5. Sound is closer to a 4, I'd say. I tried this out both connected to my phone as well as to the laptop, with me speaking and with my wife speaking. Somehow it sounded a bit better with her voice than mine—when I was speaking through it and she was in the other room with her phone she said it sounded a bit hissy at the end of some of my words, and I sounded far away. When she was speaking through it and I was on the phone in the other room, it her voice sounded excellent to me, both in terms of clarity and closeness. We also tried it with a Zoom meeting, with the unit connected to my laptop, and we had the exact same experience—with me hearing her very clearly when she was speaking into the Luna, and her having minor complaints when I was talking into it. So maybe it works better with voices with less bass? Anyway, I was and am pleased with the overall sound quality and will definitely continue to use it. I especially like it for Zoom, because I'd prefer not to wear headphones or earbuds for my meetings, and the sound from my laptop isn't really loud enough, and those things become irrelevant with this external speaker/mic unit. Connecting it to devices is super easy. It comes with a bluetooth dongle thing that plugs into a USB port on the laptop, and when I popped that into my laptop, it took about 3 seconds for the computer to set it up (Windows 10 machine). It just worked, no troubleshooting necessary. The dongle stores in a tightly fitting compartment in the back of the unit. Easy to remove, but doesn't seem like it'll fall out—that was a thoughtful bit of engineering. I tried connecting it to my phone with the included 3.5mm cable, but it didn't sound very good that way—a bit crackly and just not clear enough. Bluetooth was WAY better, and it took 2 seconds to pair with my Samsung phone. I'm very happy with the bluetooth option, and like that I can answer and hang up the calls with the button on the unit, so I can just leave the phone there on my desk and not have to pick it up to answer the phone. The buttons on the unit are easy to use, and clearly labeled. When you're talking on the unit, if you need to mute it for a second, you can hit the mic button, and the LEDs glow red to let you know that it's muted. I like that visual cue. I haven't tested out the noise canceling feature, but there's a button for that, too, and I like that there's the option to use that feature or not depending on the circumstances. The Luna comes pre-charged so you can use it right out of the box. Once the unit has been powered on, you can give the power button a quick touch and the LEDs will light up, showing how much battery power remains. For my unit, 4 out of the 5 LEDs lit up, so it came 80% charged. That's a nice touch because it's always a bit of a bummer to have to charge whatever new gadget you got for 6 hours when you really just want to take it out of the box and test it out! One complaint I have, which would be super easy for the manufacturer to remedy, is that the manual is unnecessarily small. I included it in the first picture I uploaded. It could be double the size, and so much easier to read, and still fit in the box. I know very few people read the manual, but it actually contains good info on how to connect it, a very clear diagram of the various buttons, etc. Given that manuals these days are often super crappy, I was overall quite pleased with the quality of the manual—I just wish it were bigger.

I have been looking for a product for my home office desk. Part of my office hours goes in meetings and the usual headphones do not help. I tried a different brand product but didn't liked it. eMeet has great sound quality, connects in seconds and have a very long lasting battery. I have been using it since a month and this has not disappointed me since then. I have not heard complains from anyone in the meetings that I am not audible. Also I can hear everyone loud and clear as the laptop speakers do not do justice to the sound. A must have product for home office desk.

Worked great for 6 months. After that connection gets dropped and we have to disconnect and connect back again.. Off late this started happening atleast 3-4 times a day. Disappointed

I purchased two eMeet Luna units specifically for daisy-chaining them in the hope of having good enough audio in a large conference room (30' x 50' room). To my surprise, the speakers had crisp and clear audio, and the microphones produced equally great audio according to the 6 remote participants. Exceeded my expectations. i, however, had to ditch the Bluetooth connection and purchased a long USB cable because the unit and the laptop lost connection a few times during our trial runs. I wasn't going to rely on the Bluetooth anyway because I wanted to eliminate possible issues during a conference call (due to limited technical support within my organization.) Overall, I would recommend the eMeet Luna to a friend, and would purchase it again.
