Straight out of the box you get a little more than a 10 dollar mouse. The build quality is actually pretty good, plastics have way more rigidity than expected with a nice glossy shine on top which really shows off the turquoise-ish color I ordered. Turning it on is easy with the switch under the mouse, which has an option for 2.4GHz with the included usb dongle(stored conveniently below the mouse in its own little socket), but I opted for the BT(bluetooth) option because I was pairing it with my tablet. To turn the mouse off, just slide the switch to the middle, super easy. Turning the mouse on I noticed how decently bright the lighting was, full RGB wave effect but there are no static color options, so unicorn vomit it is but it's not unpleasant to see and looks really good on this mouse. The buttons feel pretty good as well, more silent but still bumpy, no tactile click but definitely responsive and solid. The included usb cable charges the mouse, but make sure it's off first of course(mouse turns royal blue while charging). I'm not sure if it charges while on. I would say no, but the mouse is completely usable while plugged in. Pairing it with my tablet was easy under add new bluetooth device. Instructions are pretty simple and straight forward as well. Just buy it! Great for tablets laptops or smart phones. Will it stand up in FPS gaming? Well I'll leave that to you. Personally I don't think that the dpi is high enough for that kind of responsiveness and the glossy surface could make for a sweaty experience after a long enough session. This mouse was chosen first for it's slim (3/4-inch) height for use with a slim 14" laptop. It just disappears in the shoulder bag when carried. Sensitivity of the optics is very good on fabric mouse pads. It can be a little jerky on shiny surfaces, but seemingly no worse than expensive mouse units. The scroll wheel works perfectly. Life of the rechargeable battery is excellent - it hasn't run down in a month since its first charge! I would prefer it had a USB C port, but comes with a short mini-USB cable. The multi-color lighting on the edges is a bit gimmicky to me, but not bright enough to be distracting or silly. I heartily recommend this unit for price and quality. ... show more

Edit/Update: I have had this mouse for maybe 3-4 months. It still works great... BUT the paint started just chipping off under my fingers on the side. Now that its started, there is not much to do but let it all flake off, then I'll probably just use some acrylic paint to keep the light from becoming annoying. I am only subtracting a single star for now because its still a great mouse that's at least worth the price I paid. Paint chips. It happens. I wish it was a bit sturdier, but it still does what I need it to do. This mouse is perfect for my needs. Its very responsive, only a few seconds of lag when you first power it on for the session, but once connected it responds perfectly. I travel a lot with my laptop, so I love the slim design for a quick tuck into a pocket, and its very unobtrusive in my hand. The charger cable is long enough that you can keep working when the battery gets low, and the battery lasts exceptionally long between charges. It shuts on and off easily, the Bluetooth connection was easy and stable, and the kaliedoscope of colors isn't nearly as distracting as I worried it might be. I even like the shade of aqua blue. It's more of a peachy pink than like a pretty light/baby pink but that's okay for me. I do enjoy the rainbow LED lights that change colors around it, and as far as I know there's no way to alter that. Just something you deal with. Have had no problems with it connecting via Bluetooth really, and I love there are the options for USB and wired as well. Versatility is great! Im a cozy gamer and I think I've only had one issue with it but it's not big enough for me dogging it. If you a playing something heavier, then I don't think I'd put it through the paces. Stardew tho? No problem. The only downfall is the visual wear and tear. The color begins to flake off revealing a clear frosted plastic beneath. I have like 2 stickers on it that I know I'll lose and I am thinking of just picking the rest of it off because I'm a fan of transparent hardware (let's revive that aesthetic!) It took a couple of months to get to that point and it doesn't bother me at all because I don't currently have an aesthetic to maintain. The battery life is...I think it's slowed down a bit over time and it's been a little bit since I've used it honestly (I got tired of misplacing it in the house). It works well and is easy set up, however with limited use my scroll wheel has quit working. It turns but does nothing on my screen. Everything else still works and it is a comfortable mouse to use and easy to in my laptop bag.
