The second time there was a pleasant smell and I notice after brushing under the rim it was bringing down small specs of hard water stains. I'm a huge fan of Blueland and regularly purchased from their website. That is where I originally got them. At first I loved these. They have a strong lemon smell which I love and they fizz up nicely. I think they are a pretty decent value for what you get. They do crumble really bad though so be aware of that. The eco friendly packaging is the whole reason I buy. As for the effectiveness of the product. I can't say I am all that thrilled. They clean and do the job just it's nothing spectacular. It barely touches the hard water stains in the toilet. I do think they keep my toilets, clean and sanitized but nothing much more than that. I do like these, they're not the be all end all but I will continue to purchase for the eco friendly aspect. I like I can clean my toilet as much as I want and not feel like I'm going broke. I tried scrubbing by hand under the rims and multiple products to disinfect and deodorize my toilets. The smell would reappear within 1-2 days. After using these tabs consistently on a weekly basis (after scrubbing with a known powder cleanser) my toilets no longer smell as bad and are tolerable. Ordered the starter kit. Impressed with the ease of use and the performance. I’m always scrubbing my toilet bowl. There was a stain I could not get out with other liquid cleaners. Tried this tablet n I could not believe the stain was gone. I brushed the bowl following instructions after tablet dissolved. I do like that this product has a nice smell, it’s eco friendly, no bleach and is septic safe. The only problem is many of the tablets arrived broken or in broken pieces. The company should revamp their packaging to prevent breakage. The product is not cheap it’s pricy but works. I subscribed and will see in what condition the refills arrive in.
