It is important to me to use a toilet bowl cleaner that is septic safe, so that was one of the main reasons I liked this Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner Gel. The product page lists it as a 0% bleach formula that is safe for septic systems, which makes me feel better using it for regular toilet cleaning. This is the BEST STUFF EVER. We have hard water here in Tampa, and it leaves rust stains all the time. The toilets to tackle on a regular basis - I had tried everything. This product cleans, removes rust stains and regular toilet ring stains without the awful smell of strong bleach. The scent is nice and not overpowering. I have never had such a good toilet cleaner. I bought this Lysol toilet cleaner because I honestly needed something urgently that actually worked. I had tried other products before that promised great results, but I still ended up scrubbing too much and my bathroom never felt deeply clean. I decided to give this one a try, and honestly, it has been a total success in my home. The first thing I noticed was how quickly it starts working. I applied it under the rim of the toilet, let it sit for a bit, and the stains came off much easier than usual. It also helped a lot with bathroom odors, leaving behind a fresh scent without smelling overly strong or chemical-heavy. As a men who constantly keeps the bathroom clean, I can honestly say this product made cleaning much easier for me. Strong Cleaner That Gets the Job Done, But Not Without a Little Fuss. Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Max Strength Bathroom Cleaning (4 pack) is one of those household staples that feels almost too powerful in the best possible way. It definitely does its main job well: keeping the toilet bowl clean, fresh, and visibly sanitized without requiring a ton of scrubbing. The thick gel formula is the real highlight here. It clings to the sides of the bowl instead of immediately sliding into the water, which gives it time to break down stains, hard water rings, and general buildup. After letting it sit for a few minutes and giving it a quick scrub, the difference is noticeable. The bowl looks brighter, smells cleaner, and feels properly refreshed rather than just “masked.” It also handles everyday grime pretty efficiently. Light stains and routine buildup don’t stand much of a chance, and even tougher rings around the waterline usually lift after a bit of dwell time. The cleaner spreads easily under the rim too, which is often the most neglected (and unpleasant) part of toilet cleaning. The scent is strong, but in a “cleaning product doing its job” way rather than something overly perfumed. It definitely lets you know it’s working, so ventilation helps, especially in smaller bathrooms. Now for why it lands at 4 stars instead of 5. Heavier, long-set stains sometimes require a second round or a more aggressive scrub than expected. It’s strong, but not magical. The bottle design is also a bit messy if you’re not careful with application, and it can drip more than you’d like when applying under the rim. Another minor drawback is that the cap and squeeze control take a little practice. If you’re not careful, it’s easy to use more than you actually need, especially since the gel comes out fairly quickly. Overall, this 4-pack of Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner is a reliable, powerful bathroom essential that keeps things clean with minimal effort. It’s not flawless, but it consistently delivers solid results and makes one of the least pleasant chores noticeably easier to handle.

This is a staple in our house. The Lysol toilet bowl cleaner gel is effective. The scent is fresh and immediately makes the bathroom feel cleaner. It’s easy to use with the twist cap and apply to the toilet bowl. We have not noticed foaming with this product, I’m thinking it’s due to the gel like consistency.
