I moved into a very old house and needed something to help with stagnant and moldy smells. (I later found that there was mold growing in my crawl space and remediation soon followed.) In the interim this air purifier helped to get us through a rough patch. I noticed a distinct difference right away with less smell and dust. My son sneezing was relived and our air was cleaner. After a couple of months I pulled off the exterior cover, which was coated with dust and pet hair and washed it. It’s so nice to have a washable cover! I’m especially happy that it’s been a few months and I haven’t had to change the filter yet in sprite of the hard work that it has stood up to. This machine adjusts to particles intuitively, when we are cooking it goes into overdrive. The settings are on top so I can see what’s going on, and with just a touch of my finger, I can adjust all settings. So far, so good. Have had this purifier for about 5 months and it’s been working fine. We keep it at the low setting of 1 but change to higher speeds if the occasion calls for it. It’s quiet at lower speeds up to 3, and overall is a quality unit. I just bought after market replacement filters and will put them to use as the first replacement soon. Not sure how a $37 after market replacement compares to a $90 OEM replacement filter but we will find out in time. I believe it would perform the same. ... show more

    • Vibrates and Clicking Sounds From Bearings Out of the Box

Vibrates and clicking noises from the bearings at low speed. The packaging on this is woefully inadequate to prevent damage. There’s a cardboard clamshell and zero padding. Any box impact and the fan bearing’s on this are getting destroyed. Box had corner damages likely dropped but unit was undented. Fan is off balance however and vibrates noticeably at all speeds. At startup you can see the top rock slightly from the imbalance. If you can somehow get one that hasn’t had football played with it I’m sure it’s fine. But it’s not built nor packaged to be delivered safely in America. Amazon delivered it but it was likely damaged in the warehouse. Steer clear unless you have time and money for returns. They won’t exchange this as it’s likely a very common problem at this point. The fan sounds EXACTLY like a defective Mila Air unit with a poorly manufactured defective fan. So if you know what that sounds like…. They’re probably using the same garbage fan bearings here. ... show more

    • Still not fully sure it’s making a huge difference

’m still kind of debating how I feel about the BLUEAIR Blue Signature Air Purifier. I bought it hoping it would make a noticeable difference in the room, especially since it’s advertised for larger spaces. It seems like a nice unit, and I don’t have any major complaints about the design or how it runs, but I’m honestly not sure yet if I can tell it’s doing as much as I expected. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was hoping for one of those “wow, the air feels cleaner” moments, and I haven’t really had that yet. It may be working in the background, but it’s hard to judge without an air quality monitor or something showing actual numbers. That said, it’s not a bad product. It runs, it looks good, and it seems well built. I’m just not fully convinced yet that it’s making a big enough difference for the price. Would I buy it again? I’m still undecided. My wife is very sensitive to smells and we both hate dust! We have placed it between our family room and Kitchen, near our patio and not far from our front door. It is quiet, and does a great job of sensing and automatically clearing and removing cooking odors or smoke from our main floor completely. It has also really helped minimize the dust that normally accumulates on the floor and table surfaces. I program it to do a daily clean in the pre-dawn hours before we wake and it has proved very effective. Now we dust less and who wouldn't welcome that?! Plus it doesnt look like a piece of medical equiptment. We did buy the accessory base for the devise. We didnt appreciate that it was not included but love the refined look. ... show more
