  • Comfortable, but with a few issues.
I've had the chair for about a week now, and overall I'm enjoying it quite a bit. The assembly involves quite a few M8 bolts that you must tighten with an allen wrench (either the included one, or an M8 sized wrench you provide). I wanted to use an M8 socket on a ratchet handle to make sure all the bolts were well tightened but the bolts have a round head instead of a square or octagonal one that a socket could grab onto, and it's a real pain to try to thoroughly and evenly tighten all those bolts with just a little wrench. The allen wrench is included, tough, and it has the correct size of Phillips head screwdriver for the shorter bolts on the other end, so that's nice. A pair of white cloth gloves is included too. Once assembled, the chair is very comfortable. I work from home several days a week and on those days I can spend 14 hours or more in my office chair. This one makes that a really comfortable experience. The seat pan is nice and deep which offers good thigh support. It's also pretty wide so I have plenty of room for my hips and thighs. In addition, the race style side bolsters drop away toward the back of the seat pan so there's nothing that constricts my hips. The back bolstering is narrower so I can see how bigger folks might find it a bit tight as some other reviews have mentioned, but there's plenty of room for me (I'm 6'0" and 250 lbs.) The recline function is very nice as well, lying almost completely flat in its farthest back position. Combined with the footrest, quick naps while on boring conference calls are a breeze. :) It should be noted though that the recline is not continuously adjustable; rather, the back can be adjusted to one of nine different angles between nearly bolt upright and nearly flat. To me, this is no big deal, it was easy to find a comfortable angle (I like the third notch). I also really like the rocker function that, when unlocked, allows the chair to rock back 20 degrees without changing the seatback angle. Worth noting here is that the seat bottom rocks along with the back in this mode. As I noted above, the seat is quite deep, so I was a bit surprised the first time I rocked back and my feet left the floor. Again, no big deal. The foot rest is a great feature, it just pulls out from under the chair and flips into position when you're ready to use it. I do wish it had a more convenient way to grab it than having to work your fingers into the narrow space between the seat cushion and the stowed foot rest. It would also be nice if the foot rest extended a bit more for those with long legs. My inseam is only 32" and with my rear all the way back in the seat, it's more of a calf rest stopping just above my ankles. If you have longer legs you might not find this very comfortable. Now for the things I don't like: The "leather" (I don't think it's real--which is fine for the $149 price I paid) doesn't fit the cushions well in a few places. Most noticeably, it's quite loose along the front edge of the seat cushion and just looks sloppy. On some of the other cushions like the backrest and footrest, the covering is a bit too small making the zippers not close all the way, and there is some stitching on the seat cushion that has unravelled leaving some loose threads hanging there (but hey, zippers! If you ever need to recover the chair, you can!) The arms don't adjust forward and backward, nor do they pivot in or out--height is the only thing you can change. For me, the arms are too far forward to use comfortably even with the chair back in its fully upright position. Laid back to the third notch where I have it set, only my hands are on the arm rests as they do not move back when you recline. Although all the load bearing parts are steel, the side covers that conceal the recliner mechanism (a rather wicked looking metal coil spring that actually looks like it could cause some pretty serious injuries if it were to fail) are cheap, ill-fitting plastic. Again, for $149, I don't care that much, but your mileage may vary. But now the biggest issue and the reason this chair isn't getting five stars: Everything squeaks. Freaking. Everything. I can't shift my weight in the seat without a creak, or rock without the left hinge squeaking or really move at all without it sounding like a sailboat on the waves. if I had known this would be an issue, I might have tried applying some blue Loctite to the bolt threads and a graphite based grease to all the metal-on-metal moving parts. In summary, overall this chair is good for the price, and I really like it...I'd like it more if weren't so damned noisy and if a few details were done just a bit better. ... show more

  • Chair is okay and Seller's return policy is the worst
Very thin cushion for back and side flaps not comfortable when lying at an angle. Most importantly my legs doesn't fully reach the ground and I'm an average 5-5" person. When I asked for return, seller won't pay for shipping, it's self-ship!!! So I'm stuck with useless piece for a small refund or returning it for a huge shipping fee!! And this is what seller says in the product description - "★EXCELLENT AFTER-SALES SERVICE: Money back for any reason within 30 days. Any dissatisfaction with our products or service, please feel free to contact us." But the service I got is the worst ever!! ... show more

  • BMA (Big Man Approved)
This chair was simple to put together even with one person and no tools but the included T wrench. Once I stopped watching tv and paid attention it was done in 20 mins. If you put it together with all the bolts a bit loose so every thing lines up, then go back and super tighten everything, it ends up very sturdy. I'm surprised at how quality it feels, I was expecting it to be kind of junky and thought it would just be a temporary use chair for me. Nope, all 309 of my gloriously handsome pounds fit comfortably into this chair. Recline is strong and it will put you to sleep. I love the looks, like a sports car seat. I will spend most of this Sunday playing Star Wars Fallen Order while sitting in this great chair. The fold out foot rest is a bit too flimsy to be useful but its really not needed. I may remove mine permanently to make the chair a bit lighter to move about. If you're a big dude and are skeptical about the chair, no worries man, get it. *Also, if using the the hand wrench included to assemble the chair rather than power driver, let me suggest you wear the INCLUDED KillaBee gloves with a grippy texture on the palms. Yup. Makes tightening those bolts way more comfortable. ... show more

  • Great for a curvy gal gamer!
My old office chair is very old and I've been wanting to replace it for a while but couldn't quite find what I was looking for. I wanted something that was going to support my larger frame (I'm nearly 6 feet tall and weigh 280 pounds) and be comfortable, but not completely break the bank. So far I am extremely happy with my chair, as is my back. It did take a little while to ship to me, but I didn't mind waiting. I did need my husband's help to put it together and get everything lined up properly. The parts feel very well made and most importantly, heavy duty. My last chair's piston was broken so it's really nice to be able to sit with my chair at the right height. I like the lumbar support pillow but I personally don't see myself using the massager. I just don't like vibration massages, but that is just my personal preference. I'm sure the pillow will shift occasionally but it's somewhat easy to adjust. Love the head support pillow. As you can see in the picture I've wrapped it around the top, because if I had it lower it would hit the bottom of my neck and that wasn't very comfortable. But it fits great at the top too, thankfully. I've had the chair for a week now, so I'm not entirely sure how it is going to hold up, but so far it seems to be great. I will update my review if anything changes! ... show more
