My cats REALLY love the greenies salmon treats, and they also were only eating the Hills science diet chicken cat food. I wanted to find a food that was more like their treats since it seemed like they weren’t really interested in their food anymore. When I compared the ingredients from the greenies to this food, it was a pretty similar breakdown, and also salmon flavored, so I bought a bag as a tester. When I first opened it I was disappointed in how tiny the shapes are - they are really small shapes for adult cats IMO but I was like, maybe the cats won’t mind. So I first mixed some of the food in with the greenies treats, and it took one cat a few days to eat it, but then he trusted it and started eating it as a treat without hesitation. My other cat ate it up right away! Anyhow the cats loved it so much in their treats and were still less interested in their regular food, even though it was obvious that they liked the big shapes and liked crunching on them. (One cat in particular likes to be petted while eating, and he’s always turn around and smile after crunching) So I decided to mix this salmon food into their chicken food, to help them eat more food and less treats. And it worked!! They were eating more regularly and when they wanted treats, their meows were much less desperate sounding. So for a month I kept testing out this salmon food vs greenies as a treat, and honestly they still love their greenies but they LOVE this food as a treat and will eat it plain now, without any greenies. In fact, they wanted to eat it so much I ran out of the salmon food, and had a week of lag time between my subscriptions and they were so impatient. Anyhow! The most interesting thing about this month testing period was: I started noticing mood differences in one of my cats. He used to be pretty cranky, or maybe just frustrated. He would act like he wanted to be pet, but if you pet more than just around his fur - like along his back - he started to get frustrated and flick his tail, then snap. I honestly thought it was his personality, and just tried to be more verbally friendly instead of petting him. His fur also looked beautiful, he is an immaculate groomer anyway, and it always kind of stood out away from his body and smelled so good - kindof like straw. Like a nice, dry, warm earthy smell. So as the month progressed with this food as treats etc, I noticed his mood changed and he seemed to want to snuggle more and get more pets. It started slowly, but it was definitely noticeable. And eventually I started to put it together, when I noticed he wasn’t smelling like straw anymore, and his fur was looking sleeker. !! I think he needed more oil I’m his diet, and I think his little furs and skin were just sensitive!!! Because now his fur is tremendously soft, and I can pet him for , maybe almost 5 minutes? And he doesn’t flick his tail anymore!! He seems so much happier too, just generally less agitated. So that’s the long story. What I’ve determined in this test is: the tiny shapes from Blue are perfect when mixed with the bigger shapes from the Hills brand. Both of my cats eat their food on their own now, and without hesitation. They still like treats time, but it’s much less demanding than before, and they don’t seem to mind if they only get treatsed 4 times a day. They LOVE this food on its own now, when I use it as treats, but they especially love it when just a couple of pieces of greenies are placed on top. I’m happy because now my subscriptions for all the products are in sync, and my mix ratio (pictured) is perfect for my cats and my budget. SUPER happy I found this food. Love you guys wanted to share the whole story because it’s so much more than just the food.

I started feeding her the canned food while she was little, eventually she left it for something different. I tried this new stuff and just filled the self feeder and she eats it very well. No more waste.

These balls are a little bit bigger than the chicken ones my cats go crazy for the scent and the taste. We’ve even had raccoons break in on our porch because they absolutely can smell the scent so it’s a powerful sense it’s made well all my cats love it we can’t live without the salmon balls. Let me tell you.

This is easily the very best quality cat food we’ve ever used. After being amazed at the softness of our friend’s cat, she explained it was thanks to Blue Buffalo food. Skeptical, we bought a bag for our new kitten and wow were we impressed. After using the food for perhaps two months, he developed the most stunningly luxurious fur we have ever felt. We honestly never knew a cat could be so soft. The noticeably improved health of his fur also seemed to significantly reduce expected shedding and appeared to be a strong sign of overall great health. We were completely sold on the results, but of course, we could not help but wonder if perhaps our kitten was just particularly healthy, regardless of his food. Somewhat unfortunately, we had the opportunity to test our anecdotal conclusions when we got our second kitten. He had been eating Purina One and the vet advised that we slowly transition him to Blue Buffalo, which we did by mixing the two foods for just over a month. That meant our older kitten also ate Purina One. Somewhat shockingly, in just that month, the health of his luxurious fur noticeably declined and it took roughly two months to fully recover. We are forever sold on this amazing brand, and frankly, the noticeably improved health we now see in our young cats makes us truly regret the food we provided our furry friends of the past. In short, the unbelievable results are well worth the additional cost!

My cat Tigger is kinda picky when it comes to food. I bought this because the other Blue Mature Cat good is out everywhere. He likes this, and it doesn’t upset his stomachache. It’s a bit expensive but it is larger than the previous package I previously purchased.

I have to keep this locked in a closet because I've caught my cat chewing a hole straight through the plastic. A good, grain free food. His coat is so soft I get asked if I actually bath him (don't bath your cats) and I get to explain, if course I don't! That's just what happens when you don't use garbage food (from observation. Everyone I've met uses that $7/lb 14lb bags of food.their car is fat, sick and/or greasy.
