  • It's a fast phone and the fingerprint reader works great
A really nice phone for the money. How many phones out there offer what the n4 does? A case and screen protector installed , a fast wall charger and earbuds. It performs well and doesn't overheat. The camera's are just average but you do have a telephoto and wide angle lense that's all I need plus it has a nice large curved main screen and it's plenty bright. The small screen on the back comes in handy. The biggest negative to me is it's only water resistant and not waterproof but for me that's okay to. I can't say any bad stuff about it for the price ... show more

  • $800 phone for $250
So I'm not a phone geek. I can't tell ya the processesing speed of the chip, or what it means. I can't tell ya the type of OLED screen or where the flux capacitor is or whatever. I'm a dumb fireman, so I'm gonna tell ya how it works for the stuff I use it for. It works great. The GPS screen is fast, and accurate. It doesn't do that stupid spin move in Google maps trying to orient itself for the turn by turn. It doesn't lag when overlapping maps, and the detail is immediately immaculate. It works great with multiple open windows. I can easily switch between screens between maps, and large files such as; ERG, pre hospital protocols, dosaging apps etc. The audio for phone calls is exemplary. I have baseline tinnitus and general hearing loss from years of riding the rigs, and both the external speakers and the phone speakers are loud, and clear. The sensitivity of the screen is next level. Very rarely do I find myself having to retype letters or words because I didn't hit the key just right, which seems to be a persistent issue with other budget phones. The camera is lower end flagship level. A 50mps camera and ability to shoot video in 4K, I mean I'll tell ya, I use the camera for post incident evaluations, car accidents and I use the video for training, and boy you'd thought I'd used an iPhone 15 pro Max top of the line phone. The detail and screen tracking is incredible. The color contrast can get a tad over saturated, but it's an easy enough fix in the editing software if it's that big of a deal. But hey I've used it on fire scenes and the photos have been introduced and accepted as evidence so 🤷♂️ if it's good enough for the courts, it's good enough for me. It streams in 4KUHD with Dolby stereo sound quality with 5g. Audio as stated is very crisp and can cause some feedback at high volumes. Battery life easily last all day while running multiple apps. I started out the day at 5AM at 100%, and with YouTube running in the background, a few texts, some random Google searches, took a couple pictures, GPSd a few calls while running the CAD through the phone, using the hotspot (which also runs at 5g) and doing some light reading, as I lay here in bed at 1024PM it's at 63% and hasn't been on the charger at all. Speaking of charging, the high speed charging system is bananas. 20mins from 1-100. Super useful if you're out and about all day. The NFC was a nice addition and works flawlessly. It operates Android OS so it's compatible with literally everything, and standard ease of use you come to expect from Android OS. My only couple of small nitpicky complaints: The rear facing screen, while a nice touch I feel is overkill considering the added weight and battery usage. Mind you, even at screen brightness at 100% it still barely put a dent in the overall usage but it's still a power eater for little use. They say it's so you can see what you're doing better for selfies or streaming or whatever (allegedly the outward facing camera is better than the one on the home screen) but that doesn't really apply to me, so I don't really care. The curved sides again is a nice touch and is definitely asethicly pleasing, it does make it hard to grip it at weird angles, which when your hands are full and you're trying to look stuff up and the phone is sliding on everything bc the edges are so smooth, makes it a little anoying. Granted this is easily workable with the right phone case, it's still something that needs to be dealt with after market. Overall not a bad purchase for $250-300. The lower end flag ship phones that run $5-800 are on par with the Bold N4. If you're like me and just a working guy and you're just looking for something to just help you through your job, screw around with a few games, watch a few videos, fire off a few emails, take a phone call or two and send some texts this phone more than meets those needs. As I stated this phone is on par with like maybe iPhone 13-14 capabilities for half the price. So if brand name means nothing to you, and you don't care about generic parts vs brand name, this phone is right up your alley. ... show more

  • Pros and Cons
Pretty good phone value for the price. Pretty fast, sleek, and I love how it looks. Although, there are some pros and cons. Pros: 50 MP Camera with a combination of OIS and EIS. Pictures come out pretty good in decent light but the color comes out kind of dull for my taste. 5000 mAh battery with +66W charger included in the box. it takes around 30 minutes to go from a dead phone to full. 512GB of internal storage. Android 15 out of the box. Beautiful 1200x2652 120Hz AMOLED screen with 429ppi and up to 900+ nits. Duel speakers, one on the top and one on the bottom. Protecting that screen is a phone case that I personally love since it combines some great aspects of protection cushions in a thin case that also adds edges for grips and texture. Great CPU/GPU and memory combo with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X & ARM Mali-G615, with 8GB physical RAM and up to 24GB of virtual RAM via hard drive space utilization. The Dimensity 7300X is the same as the Dimensity 7300, except the X version is optimized for dual screens. This brings me to the real eye catcher, the rear facing 1.74' OLED display. It is touch sensitive and can be used to cycle through several modes; notifications, camera, media player, recorder, stopwatch, alarms, and timer. Like wise you can enable AOD (Always On Display) for this rear display as well. Finally I love the color. Cons: The Camera works pretty good as a camera but video isn’t very well stabilized. This isn’t the phone you want if you take lots of video. There is quite a bit of bloatware but the vast majority is removable, but every now and then, the phone will update and it might re-install some of it. Also, if you aren’t careful and crank up all the settings on the phone you will need that 66W charger. You can easily have your phone battery drained if you don’t care what apps or settings are running in the background. There is no expandable storage so you only have 512GB total. While it does have Android 15, Android 16 just released and Blu is known for not upgrading their Android versions or releasing timely security updates. Although, considering normal Android version security support, Android 15 should still be supported until some time in 2028. Next, this maybe a pro or con but it does have a curved screen and with this model you also have an In-Display Fingerprint sensor. I understand some people are put off by curved screens and the placement of the fingerprint senor so that is why I’m adding them here. There is no headphone jack only Bluetooth, I prefer wired headphones but I know most people won’t care. Now the rear facing screen. The camera app on the rear screen only uses the rear facing camera so it makes a great selfie cam but that is pretty much it. The full front screen can shift between the front and rear camera, but can’t use both cameras at once. All the other functions for the rear screen you can think of as individual apps that have some kind of connection to proprietary apps that comes with the phone. The only one that really gave me any issues was the “Alarms” function. So the Alarms function is part of the Clock app that comes with the phone. I didn’t like that Clock app so I downloaded the Google Clock app. The Alarms function no longer works because it is part of the proprietary Clock app that comes with the phone. To have the Alarms function work, you have to set the alarms in the proprietary Clock app. If you normally place your phone front screen down then you might get more mileage out off the rear screen. As for me, I prefer placing my phone front screen up and enabling double tap to wake. ... show more

  • BEST PHONE UNDER 300 HANDS DOWN🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm a phone head. This phone does everything any phone can do and can do it as good as other phones for a quarter of the price. 512gb with all that ram is different. No lag. Takes good pics and videos and the stereo speakers are not bad. The phone is currently 250. I got it for 300. It's a steal. Buy this as a gift for your people for Christmas. I had it since it came out. The screen looks beautiful as well. Just buy it. U won't regret it. I always had to have the latest flagship phones. I told myself I'll try a economic option to see if I'm missing anything. I'm not. The back mini screen isn't a gimmick either. Happy Holidays. 🎁🎁 ... show more
