When I put my phone in a pocket of other athletic shorts I typically run into the problem of it weighing down that side making the shorts look uneven but I don't have that problem with these. These shorts fit great in the waist. However, as a 5’5” woman, these shorts are almost booty shorts. There will be no squatting in these. Ha. I love the pocket, love the waistband. Just wish they were a tad bit longer for the gym.

I have these shorts in 4 colors now and they are all you’ll find me in all summer long. I size up for more length but love that the super thick waistband still gives that cinched look and feel. For reference, I’m 5’6” 130 and I got the M. I was also able to wear these throughout 2 pregnancies because the waistband is so forgiving.
