These cameras are incredible! We have had 3 Blink Outdoor 4 cameras for over a year now and they reach about 200 feet from our house with the regular sync module. I decided to purchase two more with the XR Sync Module to see if they would work at the distances advertised. I have to say I’m blown away by their performance on XR+. They are well worth it for us even with XR+ having a saver option as the only selectable video quality and no use of the microphones. I installed one at our gate which is 532’ from our house where the sync module is plugged in and one at our barn which is 295’ away through a lot of trees. They were super easy to install. There is a XR option that allows standard HD video quality but ours had to be on the XR+ option to connect at the distance I placed them but they still show 2 bars of connectivity to the sync module so I could probably go even further with them if I needed to. Both cameras pick up motion well both day and night and the video quality is pretty good for being in saver mode. I still can’t believe they work so far away and it’s nice to have extra security on our acreage. Now I know when I have packages or mail delivered or if something is in our barn that shouldn’t be such as coyotes or bobcats. I’m always checking them and the batteries are still going strong. I wanted to purchase 2 more cameras with the XR module but there was a limit of one purchase because of the Prime Day deal. I will definitely be purchasing them again next year because there are other spots I’d like to put cameras up that are further away than the regular sync module can handle. I’ll attach pictures to show how far they are from our house and some of the night and day image quality. I used the measure tool on Google Earth for measurements. I highly recommend them!

Great functionality, amazing long range with clear video and audio quality. Battery life seems very good provided it's not in a high traffic area (putting a view of a busy street or sidewalk will kill the battery quickly). Seems very well made- waterproof with a sealed USB C charger port for power if you want to install as a wired camera rather than using batteries, but the app monitors battery levels so you'll know whenever they need to be replaced. I have several of these cameras, some running on our home Wi-Fi network and others using the XR feature to keep watch over a greater area of our property. Two way audio has very little delay, even in XR mode and setup in the blink app is easy- as with all blink products, the app will walk you thru mounting and adding the camera to your system. Whenever they pickup motion, all my blink cameras stitch together the recordings in order of appearance using the cloud plans AI detection so I can clearly track any vehicle or person from the moment they enter our property, across all cameras' field of view thru to whenever they exit the property again. Used in tandem with a blink floodlight cam on our garage & doorbell cam at our front door, with the could storage subscription plan I'm very satisfied my home and property are being monitored 24/7 for my family's safety & well-being.

Make sure you get a BLINK XR SYNC module or keep your old SYNC2 module. The new CORE SYNC MODULES are not ready for prime-time. I've had 3 fail. Intermittent dropping of cameras - but the same cameras work on the XR module or the old SYNC module. BLINK SUPPORT says there's nothing wrong, but you can search online for others having the same problem with the CORE modules. THERE IS AN INHERENT SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE PROBLEM WITH THE NEW CORE MODULES THAT BLINK WILL NOT ADMIT TO, OR RESOLVE. I've bought over 20 BLINK systems for my family and the CORE modules are defective. The new cameras are great, the picture is beautiful, and they work well for security -- as long as you don't have a CORE module.

I bought two of these on a Black Friday 60% off sale. I’m awarding them five stars partially due to the $79.99 price. (I would never consider paying twice that amount.) My other reasons for giving five stars is that they are easy to set up and they work quite well. But there are some caveats. The XR designation (apparently indicating Extended Range) increased the price without any exceptional performance improvement. Indeed, my first two Blink outdoor cameras were remanufactured and I can see no difference in the picture quality among the four cameras. I recommend mounting the cameras high because they can easily be plucked from their mounts by anyone passing by. Also, after thirty days your trial cloud storage will disappear leaving you without convenient recording options. The $30 monthly fee is too high for me although we may purchase two months of service while we’re away for winter. The devices will continue to be available for viewing on our phones without any plan.

I love my Blink Outdoor 4 XR system! The cameras have a longer range along with the module and the clips come out exceptionally clear with the high-def cameras. I like the ability to choose either Cloud storage or my own SD card so I have the ability to capture live videos and be able to pop out the SD card and view them on my laptop or desktop. I've had two Blink systems, one for more than 3 years and they are affordable and reliable.
