This camera works well with the blink app. Still a bit sub-par for Alexa integration. This is not the fault of this or any other camera. It is Alexa that is underpowered and overburdened with advertising. Still, since Blink is owned by Amazon I would have expected it to be more attuned to Amazon's alexa. Image quality is very good and night vision has been improved with this 4th generation to the point where floodlights are not really needed. One loss between gen 3 and gen 4 is that gen 3 would accept power from a small solar panel to avoid battery life issues. Gen 4 has a USB power input but no provision for rechargeable batteries so it will not work with a simple solar panel. I plan to add a rechargeable battery and USB 5v power converter to a solar panel in the future but until then we will see how long the outdoor 4's internal batteries last. Wireless connection to the blink sync module and to my WiFi are both very good. over about 50 feet to the WiFi router and 100 feet to the sync module. ... show more

We wanted the outside camera only but after getting a new puppy the inside one came in handy as well! It’s so perfect to check on him throughout the day and be able to speak through it as well. Highly recommend these cameras. Have not had an issue yet and they are easy to set up.

    • Good for the most part.. but doesn’t always detect movement.
I really like the idea of blink cameras but honestly this will only catch so much. It only records up to 30 seconds. I bought these to help me watch my kids and for if I have a in home babysitter. So overall it’s alright. If my babysitter can hear the little click when it starts recording (which I can and so can my kids. For reference they’re 1 and 3) then they could easily stop doing something if they don’t want me to see what they’re actually doing. So idk I a bit mixed on the whole setup. Also I had a dog poop in my yard and somehow the camera(blink 4 outdoor) did not detect the dog going into my yard. so now I have no proof of whose dog it was that did it and can’t hold the owner accountable. ... show more

Blink devices are easy to set up. Wish there was a way to arm only specific cameras.
