My husband is a huge fan of this movie, and an avid collector of steel book movies. So of course I couldn’t pass up this find. The quality of the case and dvd itself is great. He loves the art and uniqueness of the steelbooks and this is no exception!

This movie is the definition of politically incorrect. It was when it came out and is even more so today. In fact I'm a bit surprised this got a new release and wasn't "cancelled'. Content-wise I consider this one of the all-time great comedies. I've had it on Blu Ray since it came out. When the 4K steelbook was announced I preordered it immediately. You can go on various sites to read an in depth review of this release, but I concur with them that this is a fantastic 4K transfer. It's a significant improvement from the old blu ray. HDR looks great, Dolby Vision would have been nice but I'm sure they're saving that for the next anniversary edition release. LOL. I find the steelbook art to be great and much better than the photoshopped regular art. ... show more

Compared to the Blu ray, this 4K has improved picture with Dolby Atmos audio. Image is much more stable and vibrant with fine filmic grain. Even though you might not have Atmos surround speakers in your home theater system, the soundstage and dialog is much wider and clearer in a 5.1 system. Highly recommended. ... show more

    • One of Mel Brooks funniest movies.
You can't make these movies these days. I seen this in the theater when I was very young and never laughed so hard. A superb 4K transfer and worth being I your collection. My steelbook came undamaged and pretty fast.

I would say if you already own this movie on bluray then it's not particularly worth upgrading/double-dipping to get it on 4k. While the upgrade to 4k is apparent in a few scenes, noticing the jump from 1080p to 4k with enhanced clarity and color seldomly happens.
