Description

The Blazer PB207 butane refillable torch lighter is a micro torch pocket lighter. It is used for pipes, cigars, and cigarette-lighting.The PB207 features a side-panel locking switch to lock the flame on for constant use. It comes with a flexible, detachable stand for hands-free, continuous use. It has a clear view of the fuel chamber at its base. The micro torch houses a piezoelectric ignition system, which is based on a pressurized molecular reaction and requires no electrical connection. Piezoelectric energy occurs when the trigger is activated, releasing a small, spring-loaded internal hammer that strikes a crystal, producing a spark and resulting in gas flame ignition. With a maximum flame temperature of 2,500 degrees F, the PB207 has a continuous burn time of approximately 20 minutes, at maximum fuel volume, and has a 3.0-gram gas capacity. It produces a wind-resistant, blue torch flame with a range of 0.75 to 2.0 inches. It measures 3.0 (l) x 1.25 (w) x 0.75 (d) inches and weighs 1.2 ounces. The lighter features a safety cap, attached by a silver-colored chain.Since 1985, Blazer Products has created an array of professional and industrial tools and equipment. Located in Farmingdale, NY, the company manufactures a variety of micro torches and ultrasonic cleaners. Blazer Products is known worldwide for its original micro torch products. The PB207 lighter operates with a standard butane canister (not included).

  • Quality has Really gone down hill.
Color: Clear
I'm a cigar smoker. I've been using these lighters for years. In fact, I've been buying them from Amazon since 2008. I think I paid about $25 for them at the time. I bought them wherever I could find them before that. I keep one in my pocket, another on the coffee table, and two new ones as spares. I've really liked these lighters. I've always used quadruple refined fuel in them and they've always lasted me a year or more. Until lately. Two I bought in January (at $52) lasted less than six weeks. Replacements I bought for them are failing already (about a month). One continues to burn for up to 30 seconds after I release the trigger. The other no longer generates a spark. It won't light. I'm all done with Blazer PB207s. ... show more

  • Could it be an Authentic Blazer?
Color: Yellow
So I was first introduced to the blazer as part of a groomsman gift. Great little reliable gadget., perfect for cigars etc. That was in 2007. It lasted until lost in 2015…did I really need an expensive plastic lighter? Turns out yes! It also turns out there are counterfeit ones all over the place. This time I think I have the real deal…the flame control works, it feels sturdyish, and it fills easily with no escaping gas sound….I’ll update in a few months. ... show more

  • The best by far!
Color: Yellow
These are sturdy and most reliable. I own one, at least fifteen years old, that works perfectly, I dropped it some ten years ago, and when I found it under the porch, where it spent almost a year in NY weather, it fired up immediately. These aren't the chic Dunhills James Bond might use to light a lady's cigarette, but so what? They have a more than ample butane capacity than most others, and you can check the level simply by holding in horizontal position and looking at the bottom. Some might question why a plastic lighter costs $50; because it's worth it! ... show more

  • Butane Gas Not Included!
Color: Clear
It was not made clear in the product description on Amazon that gas was not included with the purchase of the lighter. You have to read through all the fine print where at the end it finally mentions that the butane canister is not included. Also, the flame locking lever seems locked in place and doesn't slide back and forth as expected. I resisted the temptation to force it. Perhaps it only slides to the lock position after you fill it with gas and light it. The minimal instructions provided with the torch don't explain why the locking lever might jam or whether there is a trick to make it work. Guess I'll have to investigate further after the gas arrives and I fire the unit up. If at that time the torch works perfectly, then I'll edit this and give the product its fifth star. Nothing worse than a low product evaluation that is not based on the product performance (i.e., giving it one star because it arrived a day late). 12Aug16: I just received the butane for this torch. It works like a charm. Very impressive. After the flame is lit, the locking lever can be slid to the right to lock the flame on so you can let go with your thumb and it stays lit. ... show more

  • One of the best lighters made today...
This type Blazer lighter is my all time favorite It lights every time and contrary to what some have said in reviews I have never had a problem lighting mine in the wind. The last a long time if taken care of. This model is a child resistant one (not necessarily my favorite) but still is easy to light. It has a maximum heat of 2500 degree and will burn for 20 minutes straight on a full tank of standard butane It has a cap attached to a silver chain that keeps dust out and your lighter working longer. The best part of this product is it comes with a one year warranty. If your lightewr quits for some reason send it in to blazer and they will repair/replace it free of charge. ... show more

  • Great, reliable single-flame torch
Color: Red
This is a great cigar lighter torch for the money. I had one previously and it worked flawlessly until I dropped in on concrete one day. the internal bit that makes a spark must have been damaged as it would then only work every 1 in 10 tries or so. This replacement is identical except color. Again completely reliable, and the huge clear tank bottom allows you to quickly see how much fuel you have left. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Not very wind resistant.
Color: Yellow
After deciding to splurge on a pricey lighter, I have to say that I am quite disappointed. It is by no means wind resistant. Even a short, gentle breath will put the flame out. Surprisingly easy. This will never do for the outdoor camping lighter that I was intending. UPDATE: with only occasional use since I got this, it is increasingly flakey and often difficult to light. It is junk and I cannot understand the good reviews this has gotten. ... show more

  • Best lighter there is!
Color: Clear
Over a lifetime, I have owned more different lighters (at least 50)than I can count...from expensive Dunhils and DuPonts to Vectors to Colibris to etc, etc. Typical problems for these lighters are: Difficult to fill, hard to tell if they are full, insufficient resevoirs, electronic igniters that prematurely fail and lighters that fail to shut off, leaking butane. I am particularly hard on lighters using one at least 100 times per day or over 35,000 lights per year. The one and only lighter I have found that fills easy, has a large resevoir, and lights for virtually forever is this particular Blazer Micro Torch. Just got this one for the convenience of having one upstairs and one downstairs but I have had my old Blazer for five years which, for me, is over 180,000 uses!...and still it lights on the first or second strike. It's made in Japan and not China...maybe that helps. It has a blue flame,it's reasonably wind resistant and has a lock switch should you want it to stay continuously lit. It has a chain-attached cover which I tend to remove (the little chain is like a miniatuare dog-training collar which can be re-used for a parakeet or small mouse). This new model, unfortunately comes with child safety device on the starter button which I removed - as I have no children at home...just push the plastic peg out and remove the knurled wheel entirely or snip the little lever from the wheel that blocks the button's downward path, file it smooth and then replace it to maintain a more finished appearance. Granted it's not slick and slim to carry in your pocket but, as far as I know, it is the most dependable, long-lasting lighter available ... show more
