My son loved this book when I gave it to him at 6 years old, and I have repurchased the book a couple times since because he used up all the pages. His comics are hilarious! The paper is nice for pencils, pens, and markers. There is some bleed through pages with markers when they're used heavily, but not excessively so. The layout of comic squares is helpful for prompting storytellers to create something unique. The book cover is thick like card stock, but the book is not heavy.
