  • Throw away pump. Not for continuous use
Junk, I ran it for a fuel polisher and it over heats and shuts off After 10 min. After a few more times it blew the on off switch. I By passed the switch and it worked for a few more times. Took it apart brushes were fine. Impellers were clear. Throw away pump

  • This pump is awesome.
This little pump worked like a champ. Highly recommend. I was able to pump fuel oil out of an underground storage tank into a 55 gallon garbage can then check for sludge and used the pump to pump it into my above ground tank. I recovered 150 gallons. I rigged up a pipe to go into the underground tank with some 3/4-in PVC and one elbow attached to a shorty piece that I was able to fit on the pump and clamp it. ... show more

  • Okay I got it working... If you use 3/4" NPT read below
Edit.... Okay, so I did not want to use their o-ring Chinese fittings and source small sections of 1 in rubber hose, the thread pitch of their metric o-ring fittings are pretty much the same as 3/4 NPT, with a few wraps of Teflon tape and some Gasoila they fit well and they got plenty tight. My issue was that it was not pumping, I reverse the polarity and it would blow bubbles into my tank so I know it's doing something, turns out that the 3/4 NPT nipple that I used threaded a little too far into the output port, nipple that I used threaded a little too far into the output Port hitting a check valve. That caused it not to pump, the solution..... I took my bandsaw and cut about 3/16 in off of the end of the nipple and reinserted. Everything's working great now. Hopefully it keeps up! Well I got all my plumbing sorted out for the transfer tank, installed this and went ahead and pre-filled the filter. The fuel is a above the level of the pump, and once I had everything ready to go I fired it up and it will not even draw the fuel out of the filter, in fact, it has no vacuum on the pump at all. I'm assuming it is just a bad pump. It sounds healthy, but it's moving nothing. I guess I'll start the return process. This is not something I'll be using very frequently, I've got another transfer tank with a $600 pump that I use primarily, this is just meant to allow me to fill up my skid steer at my ranch a couple times a month. What a let down... ... show more

  • Plumbing is ugly but it works perfectly
My plumbing job is ugly but the pump does everything it advertises. I bought this to plumb onto a transfer tank to pump diesel 1, diesel 2 and jet a to mix up for my old Cummins motorhome. From inside my truck I was able to run a 3/4 hose down the side of the bed and I to a 55 gallon drum and empty it without any issues at all (from pump outlet into the transfer tank which also allows it the be filtered going in) I was able to pump about 65 gallons before my old battery decided it was done and by then the motor was starting to warm up anyway. Considering buying a 2nd to have in case this one toasts itself while I'm using it, but for the price I don't think I'm really losing much. ... show more

  • Poor Quality
I used this pump a total of less than 10 times pumping diesel fuel from 5 gallon jugs to my truck. I’ve owned the pump less than 2 years under light use and it has now failed. I don’t recommend this pump.

  • Worked great for my purposes
Do not do what I did, it's not meant for it and could cause injury or worse. I had 40 gallons of 3 year old fuel in a cheap old boat I bought that needed emptied. I was desperate so I ordered the first pump that would arrive the next day with a decent flow rate. I used a garden hose that I 3d printed adapters for, both aren't ideal for this either, but it was all meant to be a 1 time use. Even though the hose wasn't ideal and slowed the flow by collapsing, it still emptied the whole tank in about 2 hours, all into 8 - 5 gallon cans. It could have been faster but the motor would get pretty warm after each container, so I let it rest 5 minutes to cool down. The pump side of it was always cool from the fuel. I ran it off my lawnmower battery away from where I pumped, which was also a ways from my boat and had 2 fire extinguishers with me. Happy with the results and now I know it can really move fluid for its intended purposes too. ... show more

  • Reliable and Recommend
Pump was new, unlike one from GoPlus that was burnt out and clearly used, and fitted with 1" fittings. I went to Lowe's and found steel 1" hose barbs that fit well and don't leak when wrapped with several turns of Teflon tape. 25mm is 1". 25.4mm/inch is the exact conversion. I have used this pump since Mar 2019 and pumped over 3000 gal of #2 diesel. It has been used to lift, about 48" and gravity feed, outlet at bottom of tank. As smaller tank used in lift mode had residue, it successfully ran fuel through a filter until it was less than. 1 GPM. A depth type filter is used on inlet, and reduces flow to about 9 GPM warm weather and about 7 GPM when it's cooler, 50 - 60 Deg F. An additive with anti-gel properties is used during colder months when temps drop near freezing. One reviewer stated his pump burned out in a couple of hours. Enclosed literature says Continuous Duty Cycle is 30 Minutes. I fuel 7 busses that range from 20 to 60 gals per fillup. Unit has several minutes of non-usebetween fillup. Pump has to be in direct sun for a couple of hours that raises case temp to over 125 Deg F in summer. Has worked without problem in all temps so far. I would recommend. This pump is less than a third of the FillRite, that the organization has burnt out two in less than 5 years. Update: 4/25/2023 - The little pump had the switch go out about 18 mos ago. Wired on and used connectors to power on and off. After 4 plus years and pumping over 12000 gallons of diesel it died. Motor runs but probably detached from impeller. Recommending org buy again. ... show more
