  • Nice treatment to give wood back its glow
I have wood all over my house - ash bedroom furniture, oak doors and trim, and cherry cabinets. Some look spiffy, others can use a little love. I tried this product out on my ash nightstand. Its finish had been marred a bit by getting scraped or having bad interaction with a beauty product spilled on it. But most of the rest of the top is in good shape. I first dusted the nightstand with a wood wash product and let it dry well. Then I applied about 1/2 teaspoon of this product to a rag and smeared it around in the direction of the grain. It just disappeared so I knew I needed more and repeated with the same amount. As instructed on the bottle, I let it sit for about 20 minutes and then buffed with the microfiber cloth. The overall top looks great and even the marred spots looked less bad. I am keeping everything off the nightstand for about an hour to make sure the product fully absorbs. This will be great to use on other wood items. It's semi-solid in the bottle though by fully removing the cap, I was able to squeeze enough out. Once it starts to get used up, I may need to set the bottle in some warm water to help liquify it. But otherwise, it works great. No strong smell either, which I like. ... show more

  • Worked well. Full ingredients aren’t listed on the bottle. This bundle isn’t the best value.
Black Swan Distributors - Howard Feed-N-Wax Wood Polish & Conditions (8 oz) & 15" x 15" microfiber cloth The 8 fl oz clear plastic bottle (it’s smaller) of wood polish and conditioner arrived wrapped in plastic with a blue microfiber cloth. There was a safety seal under the flip-top lid. There’s no full list of ingredients on the bottle, just “this unique blend of beeswax, carnauba wax, orange oil and other beneficial ingredients” is mentioned. Later it states, “contains hydrogenated mineral oil” and “For more ingredient information visit (the brand’s website)”. Visiting brings you to a “safety data sheet”. The polish/conditioner smells pleasantly like wood polish/conditioner. It applied easily and having the microfiber cloth was handy, but you’re paying extra for this “bundle”. If you want the best value, I would purchase the polish and several microfiber cloths separately. So far, I’ve used this on our maple coffee table, and it worked well. It brought out the luster and the table will be protected from dryness and all the issues that can cause for a while. We’ve taken care of this table over the many years that we’ve owned it, so it wasn’t a dramatic difference, but it was still noticeable. “Store in a cool place. Keep cap closed.” Made in the USA with global materials. ... show more

  • Howard's is Absolutely Fantastic and this Seems to be the Real Deal
I've been using Howard's products for years, so imagine my surprise when my old faithful friend Howard Feed-N-Wax showed up on Vine. I immediately ordered a bottle, as I wanted to make sure it wasn't someone trying to sell a knockoff. When it arrived, I was happy to see that it appeared to be the "real deal". I have a very unique custom made 1967 Lane walnut stereo cabinet, as well as a 1977 McIntosh C28 preamplifier with it's original walnut cabinet and a pair of walnut Klipsch Heresy IV Speakers. I wouldn't trust these valuable and cherished components to anything but Howard's. When I first purchased the Lane cabinet from it's original owner, it had been stored away in a garage for several years and suffered from neglect. Some TLC and a fair bit of Howard Feed-N-Wax, and it looked (I imagine) better than new. About a year ago, I noticed that the top of one of my Heresy speaker cabinets had faded in the sun. I applied a bit of Howard Feed-N-Wax and a good amount of elbow grease and was overjoyed to see that it restored the cabinet's original luster (see pictures). If it's not already obvious, I am a huge fan of Howard products and would highly recommend their Feed-N-Wax to anyone who want's to take great care of their cherished wooden furniture. ... show more

  • Great!
I tried this out on an old trunk that we use as a coffee table. It is pretty beat up from frequent use and cat claws, but this polish made it look great. It is easy to use (just be sure to leave it on for the full 20 min.) and has a fresh scent. I should have taken a "before" photo so you could see how rough my table was, but I didn't think to do it. I included an image with the matching tray which I haven't polished yet to give some comparison. I can't wait to try this out on some of our other wood furniture and hardwood floors! Good stuff! ... show more

  • I mean, it's oil. Of course it's going to make wood look good. Works exactly as expected.
Not nearly as easy to use as something like Pledge, but basically achieves the same thing. It's an oil-based product, so of course it is going to soak into wood and make it better than before. Oiled wood looks better than dried wood. This is oil and wax, so yeah, it works exactly like you think it would. It takes work to apply it though, unlike something like Pledge, which also makes wood look better. People talk about "waxy" build-up, but I've never experienced that in real life. I have no idea what they are talking about. I applied this to half of our coffee table, and yep, it made it look much nicer... just like any other oil-based product meant to smear onto wood. Will this last longer than other products? No idea. The idea of "feeding" dead wood kind of grosses me out, but I get what they are saying. I like that it apparently has UV protection built in, because that's the main thing that makes wood dry and bleach out. Works nicely and I think the price is fair. You don't need a whole lot to treat a regular piece of furniture. Should last a good long while. ... show more

  • Makes the wood grain pop with color!
I’ve used this brand before, on outdoor wooden beehives (the sun shield kind is so great outside). I picked this furniture polish assuming it would also be a great product and I’m so happy I did. The product takes a bit more time to use than typical polish as it requires wiping it on, allowing it to sit, then wiping/buffing the excess. It’s worth the time commitment though as the result is lovely, it brings out the wood grain beautifully and leaves a lustrous rich sheen. An added bonus is that the fragrance is natural smelling and not overly strong. This is a great product! ... show more
