Had to redo the curtains in the living room. The old curtains were see-through and stained easily, when they were supposed to be made of a thick material. Changed direction and ordered these to hold sheer curtains inside the window frames. Very easy to install. Then installed blackout curtains on a rod across the top of the entire window area. The sheers work perfectly with this tension rod and the whole setup now works very well as room darkening when watching the television. It's now more like a movie room. The sheers that these hold in place perfectly allow for a lot of natural light to come through when the blackout curtains aren't pulled shut. Definitely a great buy. Especially when insetting curtains inside a window frame. They sit snug inside the frame and haven't fallen or slid down. Will order this product again if needing to have curtains inset inside window frames similar to what I use them for here.

I took down the bypass closet doors Which were a pain in the tush because they blocked half the closet all the time, and replaced them with curtains held up by this tension rod. It has been a convenient and attractive change! The rod is very sturdy in spite of the fact that it comes in sections. The sections do screw together very firmly, and the rod feels very secure. The only reason I marked the rating down one is because the description indicates that it’s spring loaded and the Instructions for installation follow that. It took some trial and error to figure out that instead of being spring loaded, the rod had to be twisted until there was enough pressure to hold it up in the opening. There was no springiness to it.. At any rate, I’m happy with it now.

Instead of putting in the shower, I used this to hang a curtain in front of my bedroom door. Works very well. Easy to put together, and after several months it's still going strong. No issues with falling randomly or not being able to hold up my curtain.

The Adjustable Tension Shower Rod is a product that unfortunately falls short of expectations. Despite its appealing description, my experience with this rod was far from satisfactory. Awkward Fit and Poor Stability: The pieces of the rod fit together awkwardly, making it difficult to achieve a secure installation. Even when properly adjusted, the rod did not stay up as promised. Each time there was steam or a change in air pressure, it would simply fall down. This was incredibly frustrating, as I found myself repeatedly picking it up off the ground and re-hanging it. Inadequate Weight Support: The product claims to support up to 30 pounds, but in practice, it struggled to hold even a few shirts. I attempted to use it for drying clothes, and it failed miserably, collapsing under the weight. This lack of stability renders it unusable for its intended purpose. Installation Issues: While the description states that installation is tool-free and easy, I found that the tension mechanism did not function as effectively as advertised. The rod's inability to maintain tension led to continuous adjustments and ultimately resulted in my decision to throw it out. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this Adjustable Tension Shower Rod. It does not deliver on its promises of sturdiness and durability, and my experience was marked by frustration rather than convenience.
